there's always going to be a couple surprise names

i mean Greg Wise wasn't rumoured, neither were Caroline Quentin, Amanda Abbington

that's why i myself wouldn't be surprised if they are looking at another unrumoured decently well known name within the acting world + this person needs to have something to bring to the show as well honestly, which is why i myself don't find a Donal Logue too unrealistic of a shout, especially since he also has quite a lot of family in the UK (he just been in the anniversary special episode of Murdoch Mysteries this year) and his story regarding his trans daughter Jade is also something what might appeal to the production i think + he also isn't the most A-Lister of names out there, but still a decent household name (from his Gotham days, and now also from Law & Order: SVU) and been a while since we had one with irish roots but then canadian-american


as for sports names, Mark Cavendish i could see doing the show, especially now he's retired (and he has a ballroom past from his childhood) that also appeals to the production me thinks, if he can dance, i could see some Kelvin 2.0 potential there tbh

having Jimmy ''in'' doesn't mean we can't have multiple sportsmen, so i'm sticking with my theory that we might see Mark Cavendish this year on the show, especially as he was open to doing all sorts of projects now he's retired, i can see him being a good 2nd partner for Michelle tbh, she deserves a bit of a ringer after last years stunning debut with her fab choreography skills


Jimmy is on the shorter side, so likely he is the one for Dianne


Thomas i can see with Nancy with all honesty, and if you're wondering is he really a celebrity, well businesspeople also tick that box tbf and he was quite a popular contestant on the apprentice, and came across nicely on celeb masterchef



that leaves us with quite some mystery males, and i do think we'd still get 8 males, considering we have more female pro's than male pro's and to bench a Jowita or Lauren is also a no go, Lauren though might again be a stand in if they want to give Amy another go depending on how she's feeling now

would like if they'd go outside the box, and with a female, Shivaani Ghai would be someone interesting, considering she not only has done EE but also recently Batwoman, and was a villain on Strike Back, as well as in a Dark Knight film as the daughter of Ra'as Al Ghul, Nyssa Al Ghul


Donal Logue i still am crossing my fingers for, but maybe not with Dianne okay, maybe with Amy (or Lauren) since he has a link to Wales, since he loves living in Cardiff




as for Miranda Hart, i really don't know if she herself wants to give it a go, if she is as brave as Sarah last year to fully throw herself (literally what Sarah did) into it, having said that, in light of Sarah going all the way and a comedian (Chris) winning last year, maybe she wouldn't be too unrealistic anymore, could see her being one for Kai i think

Donal Logue i am sticking with that he could be in, but height wise 5′ 10″ (1.78 m) he'd be a perfect fit for Dianne, considering she is last years winning pro, i reckon they want to give her someone of a relative bigger name but also someone slightly older

Jimmy can always be paired with either Amy or Lauren (Amy because she is due someone in 50s, and Lauren would be a decent match since she also worked wonders on a complete novice like Krishnan)



Stacey Solomon would be a decent signing, one who i kinda thought she had done the show by now (same vibe as i had with Helen Skelton tbh)


Harriet Thorpe would be the mystery older female, or could also easily be Rosemary Shrager honestly



but having Dani, Toff, Stacey on one series, on one side feels too reality heavy, although in DWTS USA you have multiple RTV stars on a series, and honestly all 3 have great fanbases

my main thoughts about Donal, he has been working quite a bit with the BBC recently, which stands out for me, for a canadian-american actor whom usually more was just US based in Gotham, Law & Order: SVU


also he would be not unrealistic too a-lister, unlike John Hannah whom gets mentioned by others in the fandom, would Donal commit to a show like this, well honestly off set he is quite a normal down to earth nice guy, i've heard many of his colleague actors, actresses say


+ his possible couples choice about his love for his trans daughter Jade, is also exactly what might appeal well to the BBC production

Stefan Dennis is set to compete on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Neighbours actor – who has played lothario Paul Robinson since the first episode of the soap aired in 1985 – is a huge fan of the BBC dance series and is finally free to take part now that Neighbours has filmed its final ever episodes.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Stefan is a huge character on the soap and is sure to be a hit with Strictly fans.

“BBC bosses are confident Stefan will bring in the ratings.

He has made no secret of the fact that he would love to star on Strictly and will put his all into the training.”

Stefan, 66 – who has three children with actress wife Gail Easdale, 52 – said goodbye to six-times married alter-ego after 40 years last week as he and the cast filmed their final scenes at Nunawading studios.

He wrote on Instagram: “Just want to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone that has been on board the good ship @neighbours for the last 40 years. Yesterday I said goodbye to a phenomenon that has been two thirds of my life and a vast majority of my career life.

i'm crossing every finger and every toe, i really really really want Donal Logue to be this years surprise booking, interesting that he has no current filming work commitments, and this year having been first time he had a role in a BBC production, 300th anniversary of Murdoch Mysteries

plus his life story is one which appeals quite well to the BBC bosses me thinks


height wise he is 5.10 (1.78 metres) might make him a possibility for either Dianne, Alexis or Michelle, i think Dianne wouldn't be a bad one for him, she is a sucker for lovable celebs with extra baggage, but Michelle also wouldn't be too bad for him, considering he is one of those actors who deeply care about raw storytelling, building a connection through his harvard acting training

because ages wise, i mean 3 60+ stars, 1 50+ star, 3 40+ stars, 5 30+ stars and 3 20+ stars is pretty much diverse from that perspective as well



and Kristian, Stefan, Alex are solid actor bookings, from respectively popular shows like Game of Thrones or Neighbours, or Doctor Who, ER, Arrow


and those who say we haven't got a music star, well Stefan also ticks that box for sure since his song Don't It Make You Feel Good reached no.16 in the Irish and UK singles charts



even the sports stars are decent bookings
- a Rio 2016 Athletics Olympian and european champion in Harry
- a England Rugby team captain in Chris
- a goalscoring Premier League and Dutch International in Jimmy
- a ex lioness in a year of England women winning uefa euro's in Karen


a decent household name presenter in Ross, whom also had decent acting credits in films like The Day After Tomorrow, Half Past Dead, even had a guest role on CSI, even had some theatre experience in Guys and Dolls, Rocky Horror Show, Joseph and Technicolor Dreamcoat, he did present coverage of Olympic Games

From my point of view, it ain’t great. Obviously other people are going to like it better and know more of the contestants but as i don’t watch much tv or sports i really don’t know many of them.

And i’ll get to know them and maybe even like some of them i’m sure… like Pete from last year, i thought i detested him but he ended up being my favourite but on face value, the line-up still ain’t impressing me sorryyyyyyyyyy

having more older celebs in the cast is also a good thing, for this show's main audience group honestly


and having actors from quite some popular shows like Game of Thrones (Massively popular series/franchise) also one recurring guest star from the Arrowverse as well as her having been on Doctor Who, ER that is like appealing to audiences from 3 major shows with one actress


Neighbours is also very popular in the UK, think Stefan will have a similar positive reception by the public like Jason Donovan had in his series

and we know he has talent, based on his complex character Slade Wilson/Deathstroke on Arrow, and people also recognize him from The Hobbit trilogy



i'd say Manu with Jowita would be heavenly, all the potential for so many lifts :flutter: he has a great personality as well, and back in the day he also played Sinbad for a TV Movie, and a role in Xena: Warrior Princess

no, i just felt pissed off of having had that gut feeling Michelle being benched :bawling: :bawling:



but i'll watch the show, i'm gonna root for Stefan, i hope he has Dianne, like we need that full on aussie duo, and her fanbase might be the best chance for him getting through the early weeks i think, and Dianne is the best possible teacher for him i feel, Katya is a no go considering we saw what happened to Nigel when she pushed him too hard


Stefan is 66, so he needs to be treated with love and care, and also even if he is 66, i still see potential in him even in the latins if it is choreographed right, and his theatre experience deffo comes in useful now, not a massive advantage but just useful for a show like this


would also love a few weeks with music from australia for him
