Ive decided to not invest in another series once Tess and Claudia have gone. This is the last series for me. Lewis hasn't had it easy. He's opened the show twice in a month and is always dancing in the first half.
Not to mention the awful music choices at times. But he has Katya and she always deliveres.
I think Vicky may have made mistakes in the dance off.

Imo keeping Balvinder against Vicky reminds me of when The X Factor kept Katie Waissel over Aiden Grimshaw.

In both cases the more popular and talented contestant was eliminated, which starts to break the public's trust with the Show in question.

The Show should ignore the dance-off in situations like this imo.

Balvinder can't get the public vote, unless she has huge production values for her routine.

But that's just my view on it personally.

Amber Davies has broken her silence following Lewis Cope’s Strictly Come Dancing exit and the backlash she has received for her perfect scores.

The ex-Love Island star replaced Dani Dyer at the last minute on the BBC series after Dani was forced to leave the show early due to an injury.

Since then, the 29-year-old has faced criticism for her previous West End dance experience, which fans have claimed has given her an ‘unfair advantage’.

This has intensified following a ‘terrifying’ dance off against the Emmerdale star during the quarter finals that ended in Lewis and his professional partner Katya Jones being eliminated.

After the result aired, Amber took to Instagram to say the dance-off ‘broke her heart.’

Sharing several pictures from the show, she wrote: ‘I will always be your number 1 fan Lewiscope To go up against one of the greatest dancers Strictly has ever seen was simply terrifying, however I was actually dancing against my best friend in this competition, and that broke my heart.

‘Lewis & katyajones you won this competition as soon as you showed us & the world your couples choice on Halloween week. It was pure perfection just like your partnership.

‘Thank you for being mine and Nikita__kuzmin’s champions from day one, that means more to us than anything else. You’re both simply the greatest of all time & I love you both immensely.’

She also hit back at viewers who are accusing her of ‘essentially doing her day job’ following a streak of 40 out of 40 scores.

Responding to a clip of her Charleston to Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat from Guys and Dolls, Amber commented on Instagram: ‘Guys, please.. it’s really is just a television show. I wasn’t even supposed to be in the comp.

‘You have no idea what we put our mind and body through for this experience.. I’m really just trying my best with the opportunity that came to me. To anyone who has left a NICE comment thank you. Xx.’


Writing beneath the former Love Islander’s comment, several fans rushed to her defence.

the judges were correct in saving Amber in that dance off, it is just that Lewis shouldn't have been in the dance off in the first place

the judges can be blamed for that three way tie of 35 (Balvinder, George, Lewis) if they only scored Lewis one mark higher, there would be just a two way tie and i could've seen better chances for him against Balvinder?

i myself just LOVE Amber (and i've warmed to Nikita some more too this year)



in any other week i could've seen Lewis taking Amber out, but Lewis was just unlucky to end up in the dance off on his one weakest dance, although he cannot complain, considering he ended up going further than the got to dance judge Aston Merrygold :laugh: and here with this salsa you can't exactly fully blame Katya either considering salsa is a specialty dance with outside choreographers, i think the main problem was how Lewis didn't come across as the main star in that routine, whereas Amber in her charleston which was also a full on stage production she shined as the main star, and definitely worked hard on making those swivels as clean as they possibly could've

the judges were correct in saving Amber in that dance off, it is just that Lewis shouldn't have been in the dance off in the first place

the judges can be blamed for that three way tie of 35 (Balvinder, George, Lewis) if they only scored Lewis one mark higher, there would be just a two way tie and i could've seen better chances for him against Balvinder?

Tbh the main blame should be going to the public.

If they wanted Lewis to stay then they should've voted for him.

and tbh she is super lovely towards George and Karen, and vice versa them very lovely towards her


as Karen nicely said it, she sees George and Amber as teammates, not as competition



also Amber from last minute replacement LITERALLY as she got called the day before the first show, taking it just one week at a time, to making the final, also very cool she sees Nikita now as her best friend
