Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has died after being attacked in jail, prison sources have confirmed.

The disgraced rock star from Pontypridd was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield for child sex offences.

West Yorkshire Police said they were called to the prison on Saturday morning to an assault on a prisoner, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watkins was jailed in December 2013 for a string of child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.

Police said detectives were investigating and enquiries ongoing at the scene.

R Kelly had quite a few decent songs, i loved his colab album with Jay Z, The Best Of Both Worlds, but yeah, just doesn't hit the same anymore. Same with Kelly's Ignition, that was a summer banger back in the day, but nah not anymore.

Yeah, i think it was a youtube doc i watched on this case about 10 years ago. I don't (luckily) remember the other details, but i do remember that!

The groupie and mother of the baby was texting Watkins saying how she was "getting the baby ready" for him, and sent him pics of certain stuff. It was beyond evil and horrific.

I remember thinking at the time i wish i hadn't watched the doc on it.

I so hope he suffered a violent and painful death.
