…I’ve only watched one episode of this so far but it just has that totally excellent series vibe already…it’s a superb female cast……Rosalie Craig, Joanna Scanlan, Amelia Bulmore, Tamsin Greig Lorraine Ashbourne ….although there are some great comedy lines, it’s covering some very emotional and heartbreaking and relatable storylines as well/and from the creators of Happy Valley…

From Sally Wainwright, the creator, writer and director of Happy Valley... A teacher, a police officer, a pub landlady, a midwife, and a shoplifting freeloader: five menopausal women form a punk rock band to take part in a local talent contest, and suddenly find they have a lot more to shout about than they ever imagined. As they become closer, the teacher, Beth, and freeloader, Kitty, discover a surprising, heartbreaking connection.

…many of the storylines have got very dark, very quickly…the cast is outstanding…

…I finished binging this yesterday…it was a very difficult watch and because of those storylines, not something that could be said of…’I enjoyed…’…it was intense, it was riveting, it was so incredibly well acted with characters who we really so much, came to care about…one of the most powerful watches I’ve experienced of recent times…
