The only reason I bring it up is that I just thought it was funny that you choose to be needlessly demeaning to someone else and call their post meaningless and empty when usually your thoughts themselves have already been expressed more succinctly in the live threads. In which case, your posts could also, in a sense, be called empty. :shrug:

Now, it's obviously not a bad thing in itself that you do that (it makes the forum feel more lively and puts a spotlight on certain things that could get lost in the hectic nature of a live thread), it's just I wouldn't get too full of yourself and think all your opinions are especially original or unique or deeper than anyone else's lol. They're not. And certainly not to the extent that you think you get to act like a prized dickhead towards other users for having the gumption to simply disagree with you.

One or two posts addressing your needlessly cocky and rude way of talking to people is obsessive, sure. The funny thing is that I usually find myself agreeing with a lot of your posts on this forum (at least as they relate to wider social issues, which is where the bulk of your quality posts stem from imo), but don't have the care or passion to post myself. It's just when you get cocky and needlessly demeaning towards other users that I find myself contemplating the ignore feature. Not that you care, as you're very keen on reminding me. …in terms of BB and house behaviour/actions and reactions, that’s quite the rare bird, I feel…so in terms of being presented with a character, I like that character…and for probably multiple reasons…his character has shown a balance that hasn’t aimed any mean spirited words against others…he has such a more quietly understated way that he doesn’t ‘command’ airtime so he doesn’t know how any ‘contriving’ would be perceived …maybe positively/maybe not so much and being older, he maybe feels such a disadvantage in terms of being ‘fan base material’…and yet he hasn’t wavered or adjusted in steering that Richard ship in always seeming to remain who he is…I mean…dull, to sit there with his bible, yes and to not join in so much with some of the frolicking and fun making …and general craziness or whatever…all of those things that can give a housemate airtime and headline time …so that’s a very risky business to be that person …and that’s a very rare housemate who is able to achieve that and without pulling others down to boost his own self…

…for me, he has all of that quirkiness of back in the day BB housemates that has so been lost in time …and I have found him entertaining/…again in a very quiet and Richard way that I’ve found very refreshing…I’m not in any way falling for Richardness/I like his Richardness…it’s for me, been a pretty all in all poor season but Richard has been one of the gems that have shone….

They are all playing a game, agreed, and it simply comes down to if you like the type of game they are playing.

Caroline is playing the house, Richard is playing the audience.

I much prefer the first to the second. In fact, I actively dislike the second.. Manipulating the audience by lying about who you are from behind a fake persona is really not what BB is about to me.

This is why I much prefer a longer season.. It's much harder to maintain that as it goes on (as we see with Richard slipping up more and more). It can still be done (see Aaron winning), but it's much harder.

…I do agree that its all down to what we personally feel is a ‘gameplan’ …there is so much about Caroline that I’ve liked throughout and I would like to see her in the final… but I think that she’s become quite obsessed with Richard because she just can’t understand the respect/affection that he has in the house as she doesn’t see him as a ‘fun’ person and actually thinks of him as quite boring…well, very boring…it was so clear to see her annoyance/frustration and anger, even when questioning Tate about why he spends time talking to Richard/almost inferring that time talking to Richard is ‘wasted’ as opposed to having ‘fun time’ as Caroline sees it…when Tate said that it’s because Richard knows the bible so if he wants to question or chat about the bible/then Richard is his go to guy…Caroline’s reaction actually shows huge contempt when she says that Richard’s no bible expert, he’s a music teacher who reads the bible because he’s got no life…that’s so many levels of ‘mean’ for me…because that goes beyond the BB house and any personal clash they may have in the house …that’s referring to his life outside of the house, that she has no knowledge of…and it’s also the questioning of someone who is spending time with Richard/Tate…so would she like to see Richard isolated in the house and Tate spend no time chatting…?…

…yeah, without each other I think we would have seen different aspects to them both, I agree…and that was the thing for me with Farida as well, how she was in the wrong season, as it were…:laugh:…it’s impossible (..for me..) though to say, how would I have perceived either as a housemate, without the other because the reasons that I like Richard are actually apart and aside from his Caroline associations/partnership/feud/rivalry etc…but I do think…that Caroline has allowed herself to be consumed with Richard but that won’t take from the thing that she’s enjoying her time and experience and the friends/bonds that she’s made…and that’s no small thing…but I also think that Richard will have enjoyed his own experience living it his way and equally have made some great friends/bonds etc… Non, je ne regrette rien and all that jazz…
