How pointless is tomorrow's "results" show gonna be they could probably have extended tonight's by like 20 mins to interview La voix, have Harry Ashley Layton and Danny's dance and whoever the guest singer is supposed to be. To have like an hours show on tomorrow for no reason seems silly they could have just put a nice Christmassy film on the schedule instead, anyway...

Lewis wasn't worth a perfect 40 this time around no, too little swivel content in that charleston, it was good but not a real charleston

George massively overscored LOL, same goes for Karen



Amber undermarked, she didn't make the mistake, the backing dancers did, and there was no gapping, what was Craig on about? also i liked the Little Mermaid-esque concept too :love:



Balvinder did pretty good i thought, and scored about right, good on Anton giving it a sneaky 9



Alex overmarked, wasn't much going on basically, but she was nicely in sync with the backing dancers i guess

and then at the end having La Voix as the blackpool ''elimination'' send off, with best bits of her and Aljaz journey i think, with the top 6 on the floor next to them, like they usually do


i am glad there is no elimination, now Balvinder has a fighting chance, because it would've been Bal vs Amber, with Bal going home more than likely, now i feel like, with these scores, i think some are gonna drop on the leaderboard next week, if George has a weaker routine again (maybe the show element with backing dancers was what gave his the wow factor, same goes for Karen, whose Paso Doble in reality also had that show element making it greater than it really was, she lacked spanish lines/shapings quite throughout the routine, and Shirley with her nonsense not that kind of paso, well blackpool is the home of traditional dancing, we wanted a traditionally danced paso, and not like that music was bad for a paso, pretty sure there could've been many workable traditional paso content in there)



although regarding Amber's popularity, i read many great comments below her performance videos on youtube, and basically on many places lots of love for her and Nikita, maybe that one dance off weeks ago was because people thought she was safe, and overlooked the many ties on the board

also La Voix simply quitting feels sus, the week after her couples choice, as if she had her moment to show everyone who she is, and then leaving :suspect:




but my prediction for the final 3

Lewis, Amber (yes i still some hope for her, with what dance styles she still can do) and the third is one of George or Karen i think (and then i see more chances for Karen, as i think this was just a one off up high for George, with a dance suiting him nicely, and we all know the public vote will be split between George and Karen, and not both can end up in the final on public vote alone, so will have to face Lewis or Amber, and i would LOVE for Amber to get more public support than Lewis)



do think next week Balvinder is a goner, but at least she got another bonus week she could think of this like that, and then i see time running out for Alex, unless one of George or Karen has a flop week in musicals week, then i can see Alex benefitting from that for one more week

but i myself have the same feeling now as when i supported Pixie Lott all those years ago, whom also had been very extra in terms of fabulous showy performances


and i very much doubt her having no spark, considering she landed lead role after lead role after lead role in the WE (Back to the Future, and this year Great Gatsby, and next year and 2027 Legally Blonde)

which is so cool for someone who comes from a small village in Wales, her father being a plumber and her mother a mental health worker

2. Lewis & Katya (if only they had more swivel content in there it would've justified the perfect 40 but that is just tiny criticism)

what even was George's hip action, it looked very cringe :fan: it also looked more like a couples choice street/commercial than a salsa, especially with the ''dance battle'' moment


Karen lacked spanish lines, her footwork was good, but she was too straightened with the poses, rather than a spanish line, shaping, the character was good too, but no spanish lines is no real paso, weird the judges didn't pick up on this either :idc:



Alex wasn't that much out of sync in all fairness, it is theatre jazz style, and i deffo saw the jazz hands

Vanessa two of your previous favourites back with their iconic dance recreations, Jay, Danny! Jay is dancing with Jowita btw, Danny i think with Michelle but not sure

Layton with Nikita of course, and Ashley with Vito

differently edited together, but yes, a brilliant sendoff still for La Voix, with a elimination last dance moment (sort of)



and good they explained the instant dance for upcoming week really well, yes you gotta know the basic techniques for this, and good partnership is important


found it kinda rude that Karen said she doesn't trust Carlos regarding picking an outfit for her, even if a joke, still it comes across not very nice



Balvinder with a Jive upcoming week to right back where we started from, hmmmmmm yes that is her a goner i think but she can't complain, i mean this is another bonus week for her so to speak


Alex has a cha cha cha to blondie's song ring my bell, should do fine as Latin is more her strength than ballroom



George being a good sport, looking forward to the fun of the chaos what an Instant Dance brings :cool: even if he does awfully at it which i kinda also think he'll do, considering back to basics is his main weakness



was a great group number, Ashley, Layton still got it, Jay's jive looked a bit heavier than first time around, but omg Danny phenomenal, even better that samba than first time around, and why dance with 1 female pro, when you can dance with 6 female pro's :clap1: GET IN Danny

with general public, more like housewives, who also fell for Kelvin Fletcher, now the literal same for Lewis (and conveniently ignore his dance background, how he has danced for his entire life, came 2nd on Got to Dance, judged by Aston Merrygold of all people)


i find musical theatre dancing completely different than latin or ballroom honestly


even Detlef Soost in the german version, who has 40 years of hip hop dance experience, struggled in the early weeks with latin and ballroom techniques, but Lewis is this good since week 1 (no journey whatsoever) and Craig giving him no criticism whatsoever, now this week in his charleston ignoring the fact there was way too little swivel content :idc:

From week one to now you can actually see how much Lewis has improved. And he hasn't had it easy. Always dancing 1st or early, unsuitable music· But Lewis and Katya always make it work.
He hasn't danced for 10 years and only had a small part in a musical..

i'm just okay with Amber being in the dance offs from now on, as the only thing i care about is her hopefully making the final



i think Karen, Lewis will be the two voted to the final by the public, and i see a semi-finalist exit in George, he just gives me a Chris Ramsey sort of vibe




a Karen, Lewis, Amber final will definitely be the best case scenario for this series, it is very much necessary to have the best dancers in the final, for a ''edge of your seat'' level of quality final, will also be a more exciting final than the recent finals have been either with sympathy votes (Rose, Chris) or the likeable journey acts (Ellie, Hamza), Kelvin is the last quality winner based on pure dance content, although Bill also had been a decent technical dancer, but his series was a reduced one due to covid, not a full on series (can't judge that one in comparison to other series tbh)

Also I feel that they were deliberately being pedantic about some people saying that "Balvinder should be put out of her misery" rather than understanding their point that Balvinder is simply just not competitive in the competition, and she hasn't been since very early on in the series.
