[Under new animal rights reforms,
boiling live lobsters and crabs will be banned,
with the government saying it is
"not an acceptable killing method".]

Top Restaurants will not like this.
Because they charge more, as it shows
the customer how fresh the food is.
[Chefs and adventurous home cooks are
to be banned from killing lobsters
and crabs by boiling them alive
as is traditional under
a Labour animal welfare crackdown.
A new strategy issued today says
that the tradition of dispatching
the delicious crustaceans
in scalding water
'is not an acceptable killing method'.
And the ban is not limited to the
large clawed crustaceans.
Decapods including shrimp and prawn,
and cephalopod molluscs like
squid and octopus will also
have to face a more humane end.]

But Rich Customers
would pay the high price
of knowing their food is so fresh.
So this will effect their money in take

Unbelievable.
Supporting money and greed more important than animal welfare.
No matter the cruelty and torture.
This place is really sinking into unsavoury depths

they can kill them immediately prior to boiling them so that's just not a valid argument. Most chefs these days stick a knife through the brain. Instant, and much less suffering

Never understood why this was a thing, I would walk in the market and find it weird seeing live & kicking crabs and lobsters that people can buy and kill at home.
I think it's kinder to freeze them first ,and then boil them . At least that way it's less cruel.

At least they died after finally becoming warm for once.
Lot better than being cold and seeing the sight of cold steel coming crushing through your brain.

It may not be as important as other things but it’s still important.

Finally! Some good news in British Politics.
It's inhumane to boil them alive.

You would need to be very rich
to be aware of it.
I have been in a restaurant
cooking that, but I was only briefly meeting a colleague
I did not have time to eat.
