Penny Lancaster has decided to apear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing, according to reports.

Lancaster, the wife of Rod Stewart, would follow in the footsteps of the rocker's ex-wife Rachel Hunter, who was a contestant on the US version of the show, Dancing With the Stars.

A source said: "Penny's a huge fan of the show. Bosses think she'll be the ultimate draw - sexy and a good mover.

"Every year producers want to get the best possible names and Penny is right at the top of their list. She's keen to sign so hopefully it's all systems go."

R&B star Jamelia has agreed to be a contestant in a Strictly Come Dancing charity special.

The 'Superstar' singer, who appeared as a guest judge on the show last year, has signed up for a one-off episode in aid of Sport Relief, which will air in January.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Jamelia fell in love with the show after being a guest judge last year. Like most women she loved the outfits, the moves - and the athletic male dancers."

The insider added: "I bet she's regretting being too harsh on some contestants in the last series!"

Jamelia recently announced that she was splitting from her partner Darren Byfield.

Former EastEnders star Letitia Dean is being lined up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress decided to take a break from her role as Sharon Rickman on the BBC One soap in January 2006, after being involved in a number of high-profile storylines.

Although producers promised that Letitia would only be spending a short period of time away from the show, she has not yet made a return.

Now Dean is believed to be making plans for a TV comeback, and hopes that Strictly Come Dancing will help to raise her profile again.

A source told The Sun: "Tish has taken a year off but she aims to make a big splash with her TV comeback."
