So there is talk of a FIX?
Well - My opinion is that the Bookmakers that have received soooooooo many bets on Sam and Amanda winning Big Brother 8 - that they were faced with a big dilemma. I was hearing amounts like £5M Bets and that is a lot-a-lolly right! What the bookmakers are planning or should I say [planned] - is, MASS PHONE VOTING. They can balance the books very easy by doing that small thing. Many bookmakers can vote non-stop and push Brian's vote right up. Thousands of calls can mount up and up and up when it is required. I have to look at the losses that these bookmakers would have received if the Twins had won. What would you do? - Make thousands and thousands of calls to vote Brian or lose Millions? If they had to pay 100 members of the public £50 each to phone, phone, phone Big Brother and vote for Brian, wouldn't it be worth it?
Some are using the word [Fix] and looking at Big Brother, Endemol - something else perhaps? Vote rigging? But my suggestion rings true. It is financially benificial for Bookmakers to pull a stunt like this. I can only think of MONEY as a reason? I can only think of the ODDS on Brian that the Bookmakers were aware of. This makes sense and STUPID BRIAN won?? I am still crying over the terrible injustice over the Twins defeat. They should NOT have been defeated by that numbskull and my opinion of the Bookmakers intervention just rings true.
I am right - right?

Even if the bookies did do this - I doubt it still would have effected the outcome. Brian won with a massive lead over Sam & Amanda - The bookies have a lot of power but no so much to control the outcome of a show.
That is a good point. That could have been why, but thats just the same as loads of Brian fans mass voting, only their motives were a lot more innocent.

People are calling fix all over the place but have no proof. just because the innocent amazing Twinnies didn't win doesnt mean it was a fix. Brian got more votes - Brian won. If you wanted the Twins to win so much people should have voted.

You are JOKING Arneldo!! The Bookmakers are in a perfect position to do this and I am NOT JUST talking about this series either. It is a very careful plan which major Bookmakers like Ladbrokes are quite willing to do if necessary. Care to know how many Bookmakers there are countrywide who would be happy to sway a vote in those last moments or infact - much earlier. They knew the odds and showed us the odds - But the Twins lost!!!??? How do you account for that?
I was reading much of the interesting views from forum member Sticks and to be honest - I understand hios reasoning, even though I admit I was in [Twin-mode] fully. Brian was my greatest worry and also, I expected some collusion from Bookmakers to gain them some money, instead of losing Millions. I believe this is the FIX - and the REAL REASON..
This could be the way Big Brother is FIXED?

Exactly!! They work as a team and the big Bookmakers have the most control - it makes GOOD business sense to save Millions of pounds and by massive voting, it can change things - especially when the vote is sooooooooo close. I read about that and the Bookmakers have to realise that a careful plan can come together and suddenly thousands and thousands of votes for Brian can only acheive their only goal - to win the prize - Heads I Win/Tails You LOSE. They only win with those odds

It is a FIX. Normal voting by Big Brother fans is classed as - normal voting - if a joint operation by Bookmakers and about 100 or so paid voters to cause a one-sided balance to the scales - to ultimately sway the vote from the lovely Twins to thicko Brian is what followed. I am soooooooooo mad and have thought of this plan before. It is not fair and ruins these phonevoting shows. It is sympathy vote for Pete in Big Brother 7 and now we have sympathy to thicko and some say the black vote and then I have suspicions of collusion from Bookmakers. It is not the regular FIX, but a plan regarding mass-voting - surely Arneldo, that must be taken into account? It is a shame, but this is how Big Brother is ruled and abused RIGHT?? The mass-voting is definitely possible. I don't know how you could really deny that possibility?? You know what they are financially worth - don't you?

I think this is all very stupid, people just need to get over it seriously.
Brian got the most votes - the Twins didn't. Brian won. t wasn't a fix, it wasn't the bookies. It was a shock that the polls and the bookies got it wrong but they can't be right all the time. Mass voting or whatever, Brian still won fair and square.

Just because they were favs doesn't mean they were going to win! Brian was a fav ever since he entered the house and people tend to stick by their orginal favs like i did!

Samanda fans are very bitter that there favs did not win because they thought they had it in the bag. Twins supporters should have voted and not have assumed that they would win - I think that was part of the reason why they did not win. All of this is just people trying to come up with some excuse, some reason why the twins did not win. The facts are - Brian got the most votes, Brian won. 60.3% of the vote - This was a huge lead over the Twins. IF the bookies did mass-vote, and I think that is a huge IF, I don't think it would have effected the final outcome.

We are bitter twin fans, but did Brian win fairly. No he did not and that makes me and fans of the twins angry - you must realise that
Yes you are very bitter because you were way too overly confident to begin with! At the end of the day us Brian fans can say 'Our fav was the winner!'
You and the Brian-Thicko fan-club will continue to bang on about a straight Big Brother 8 - I/We just feel that I/We were robbed of seeing the lovely - beautiful Twinnies get robbed of the rightful position of winning the show. 2nd is good, but NOT GOOD enough!!!! I still think that the Bookmakers stole their glory. I think this will come up in the newspapers at some time - it has got to. It was unfair and those percentages mentioned I don't understand:mad:
The only thickos are the bitter twin fans thinking that it's a fix!
For the final time:
Brian Won....Get over it!

If this was the case, why didn't they do it last year, or the year before, or the year before that?
How much money was involved in Big Brother 5, 6 or 7 then? I think that the money this year was higher? I don't know for sure - I also have to say that Bookmakers will learn ways of playing these games and just because itmay have not happened before, is still not enough to win this argument, is it?
The Twins were robbed. The Bookmakers stole the Twins glory, it all fell to pieces and the thicko won:sad:
Less money was placed this year then any other year.
Doesn't matter!! Bookmakers get more canny and just because money may have been less than before - it still doesn't mean that the money voted on the underdog was any less or more - the winner - the same. I don't know exactly, as I only saw Big Brother 7 - but it does sound right
It doesn't sound right - But It is right and people need to realise it. The Twins loast and Brian won fair and square.
Mass voting can cause loads of probs and they can vote for other housemates too, just to muck it all up. I haven't looked at the breakdown percentagewise yet, as I've been busy - but I know that something wrong has happened and some sort of fix has happened - I say bookmakers and if we can't agree, then sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo be it

Yeah????? didn't his mum run to the newspapers begging for some free cash and saying that her son is a stupid fake or something? That he is intelligent and watches all Big Brother and knows how to play it?

You don't know if the bookies massed-voted - So you cant say for sure. What we do know for sure is that Brian won Big Brother, with 60.3% of the vote. I and many many people are pleased with the result. Bitter sour faced Twins fans may not be, and my spend days, weeks or years calming fix but we all know they are just making excuses. Brian won fair and square and has gone down in BB history.

None of us know if the Bookmakers mass voted, I'm not saying that. What I am saying is, it makes good business sense right!! I know about the 60.3% vote breakdown, but that is what they tell us and thats debatable. I say fix as mass voting can be said that way. BB history means nothing when poor Samanda got shoved to second:sad: not much glory for them

Twins did great and have gone down in history as well, just not as winner. Twin fans should be celebrating how good the Twins have done and celebrating there success instead of being bitter that Brian beat them.

In person - she can still change her tune? Took the cash and then reversed it for more cash from BBBM - makes cash sense and as Brian was doing well - she acted at the right time. It can only help him, can't it?
