Discuss Top Gear here =D

Tonight's episode was great! Glad to see 'em back on our screens. Richard was looking rather fetching tonight =] I used to have a hamster called Hammond... but he died =[

So, did anybody watch it tonight?

James

A very good start to the series, and I have it on good authority that it is definitely going to be their best series yet.

It’s also brilliant to see Jammy Hammy back to his best form and fully recovered from the crash.

The European drive in search of the ‘ world’s best road ’ was obviously a highly useful exercise, , I just kept wondering when a car was going to come around the next blind corner, but not one did.!

The boys were over on The Isle of Man again this summer, and to say it was a laugh would be a slight understatement. lol
Some of us went for a bit of a cruise around what is clearly the real ‘Best road in the world’.

This is the highest point on the Manx TT course on
Mt. Snaefell, and just when you thought you may have seen the back of me, here really is the back of me, my nephew and last but certainly not least The Stig.

I’m really looking forward to the rest of this series, and it’s great to see how much the program has changed from the old days when the political correctness of the BBC and not driving too fast used to restrict the fun of the show.

You will probably recognize this spot Dr.43%er, just below the motorbike museum//café, and a stunning place to watch the TT racers on ‘The Mountain Road’.

Cool pic. I read about that Isle of Man challenge in the Top Gear magazine.

Great show as usual, there's going to be exclusive video clips on the Top Gear website this series. The uncut news is going to be on later on Tuesday - http://www.topgear.com/

There's a preview vid there now - Eurofighter vs Veryon challenge looks great.

Wow, nice pic. You met the Stig o.O *ish jealous*

How old do you have to be to go and watch them? Is there a certain age limit. I've been dying to go. I want their autographs badly xD

Oh, I shall check that preview vid out now, sounds great. ^^

I loved the episode in the last series where they went to America. It was hilarious! The cow on the car... It cracks me up everytime!

Sunday nights are so much better now.

Yeah, the America trip was one of the best parts of the last series.
It was great to meet The Stig but there was no way that helmet was coming off. lol
I don't have any idea about the age restriction on going to the shows, but guess it might be 17 or 18.
If you u2u me just before Christmas I can easily get you Jeremy Clarksons autograph on a cool pic or something but I have a funny feeling that the ones you want may be Stig and The Hamsters, and they are not over as often but still a possibility.

And thanks for the link James.

I do indeed. had some great fun on that road. I take it i have mentioned that I have been over to the "Man" a few time. Not that I remember saying that. But then I don't remember what i was doing last week.

With regards to watching the show. Is it not something like a 2 year wait to get tickets?

^ Yeah, wasn't it brilliant. I laughed my head off when he drove passed the news readers.

I heard that Top Gear is to be axed by the BBC morons in charge, because they haven't got enough money. I have heard various theorys that they are planning to do with Doctor Who and Robin Hood, which are all just stupid. Personally I'd like to see Robin Hood just axed, it is terrible and keep Top Gear.

Dizzy
31-10-2007, 05:31 PM
Haha, that was my favourite part where Jeremy drove past the news reading in that tiny car, I'm surprised someone so tall managed to fit in that tiny little thing. Me and my brother were in stitches. xDD

OMG - Foebane100 I was like "Nooo!" reading that. But I highly doubt its true. [I'd also personally like Robin Hood to be axed, haha!] I hope its not true o_o!

Dizzy

OK.
It's just reached one in the morning...
I'm not feeling to good and my hand like really hurts [I sprained it. I think.]
Buuut, I'm dead excited.
I got tickets for the MPH 07 show! OMG. It's on the 11th of November, next Sunday. [the link is further up the page] And hopefully, fingers crossed, I can get their autographs, woo! I'll have to make sure my camera is fully charged, haha! >.>

*does little dance of joy* wheee!

The North Pole one was brilliant!
=D Poor Hammond... He must've been freezing >.>
Haha, the Jesus figurine... lol! Must've been scary going over that really thin ice o.O
The episode where they were doing work on the road and Hammond drove that huge tractor into that small town and held up the traffic, haha xD and then James crushed Jeremy's megaphone under the roller because he got tired of Jeremy ranting xD

Scarlett.
02-11-2007, 02:05 AM
I loved that one!!!

Dizzy
02-11-2007, 02:15 AM
And not forgetting the episode recently where Jeremy burnt his tongue on that smoking pipe, ouch!
Oh, and when James and Hammond decided to build a space shuttle, that was awesome =P

Scarlett.
02-11-2007, 02:15 AM

Scarlett.

Dizzy
04-11-2007, 04:48 PM

"James you blithering idiot, you just ran over it!" when he was thinking of getting that dead possum for dinner xD and then James runs over it in his massive cadillac lol!

Scarlett.
04-11-2007, 04:50 PM
LOL the redneck bit was bad though :0

Dizzy
04-11-2007, 04:57 PM
Yeah, must've been scary.
They took it really seriously.
Clarkson was mean leaving May and Hammond behind at the petrol station, rofl! LOL, trust May to ask for the jump leads just as that woman was calling the rednecks to come and get them o__o!

Scarlett.
04-11-2007, 05:05 PM

Dizzy
04-11-2007, 05:09 PM

I can't believe I'm actually gonna see them for real at the MPH show, it looks great, I'm so taking my camera... and Richard's autograph, I'll have to find a way of getting their autographs xD hehe. Maybe if I use my puppy eyes... hmm, that might work.

LOL, on the American episode where they bought things for their car.
Hammond bought the grill, James bought the clothes rack and a jacket, and Jeremy bought the shower xDD
"Hey, you could wash the food, I could cook it and James could dress for dinner!" xD haha

I loved the Bugatti race though, with James driving the 'washing machine' plane, lol! And couldn't drive after dark, rofl!

The amphibious cars episode, lol.
"May day, may day!" James ended up in the water like three times, lol! And then he became Hammon's cabin boy, haha.

I so have to download that episode and watch it again, I got so bored with the fireworks so I had to watch Top Gear, even though everyone tried dragging me away from the TV, lol!

25th November - Great British Car episode

A really good episode today I thought. The challenges were pretty fun to watch. I couldn't stop laughing every time they pulled up and crashed into each others cars... and then opened the door which smashed into the car next to it

Jennifer Saunders did well on the test track too

Good episode that. Couldn't believe the time Lewis Hamilton went round the track in.

There was a good interview with Clarkson by Simon Mayo on the radio last Friday.

Here is a link to it... http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/fivelive/mayo/mayo_20071130-1708.mp3 Mark Kermode, the film-reviewer, is on it also... another opinionated big-mouth I like to listen to.

Last night was brilliant, it's funny when they talk to the Stig and he doesn't respond, haha.
I hate it when the BBC do stuff like that, I was so annoyed when it announced Top Gear would be back in two weeks, grr.
I recently bought Hammond's Top Gear interactive challenge DVD, it's really good, and what's better than blowing up caravans xD
