It's weird how Dappy is doing better on his own when he was the worst part of the group.
Really?
They would all tell you that Dappy made the group.
In importance.
Dappy
Fazer
Tulissa.
I'm pretty sure No Regrets went above 1D around late Tuesday/Wednesday.
Either way. Chip's Champion was outselling Jessie J's Pricetag and was top of the midweeks yet lost out in the end...what a travesty that was.

Yeah Dappy was the key member but he was always the one giving them a bad rep, that's what I meant.

Ahh right fair enough.
He also got them alot of attention with his earlier antics though. He's matured since then however, just like Tulissa has but she gets an easy ride for being Simon's little buddy.

Gotye is on course to spend another week atop the UK singles chart.
The Australian star's global hit 'Somebody That I Used To Know' retains the number one position on the midweek chart, while Alexandra Burke's 'Elephant' trails 7,000 copies behind at two.
Nicki Minaj remains at three with 'Starships', Emeli Sandé falls two places to four with 'Next To Me' and Flo Rida completes the top five with 'Wild Ones'.
Taio Cruz leaps 15 places to 19 with new single 'Hangover', Jason Mraz enters at number 23 with 'I Won't Give Up' and Azealia Banks make her UK chart debut at number 27 with '212'.
Further down the chart Coldplay climb five places with 'Charlie Brown' up to number 33, while LMFAO's new single 'Sorry For Party Rocking' is at 36.
Over on the album chart The Military Wives take hold of the top spot with their debut album In My Dreams, which debuted at number two on Sunday's listings.
BBC Sound of 2012 winner Michael Kiwanuka reside at number two with his debut collection Home Again, while Emeli Sandé's Our Version Of Events completes the Top 3.
Elsewhere Lana Del Rey's Born To Die is at number six and is less than 100 copies ahead of Marcus Collins's self-titled debut, which is at seven.
Looks like Gotye will stay #1 for a fifth week then, I'm pleased because I hate the new Alexandra Burke single.
also LOL at Marcus Collins' album only at #7, he is such a flop.

Gotye #1 for a fifth week but it looks like this will be last week at the top spot because Katy Perry is the new #1 on iTunes with her new single Part of Me so she should get her third UK #1 single next Sunday. :thumbs2:

Hopefully soon.
2 weeks in a row for Rita Ora and Keane :worship:
Hopefully soon.
They just keep churning out pop-by-numbers hits. There's nothing wrong with the songs, or even them as people, it's just all so bloody uninspiring. They're like Atomic Kitten without the peers to show them up for what they are - safe, but boring popstars. When Little Mix finally release music I imagine that'll be the beginning of the end of The Saturdays. They've had an easy run at this, because they've had no competition. I could write an essay about all of the reasons why I loathe The Saturdays.
Locke.

Got to love Frankie and Mollie
I like Una and Frankie. Mollie's by far the most attractive but she's also really irritating. Rochelle's similarly irritating and Vanessa seems like a grungy alcoholic in the making. The UK's premier girlband, everyone!

It sounds like all of their recent releases. They're so ****ing clueless as a pop band, they just throw out whatever sounds like it might be popular, but always a smart price version, and walk away with like a #8 smash hit. Rofl.

Rita
Mollie and Rochelle make me hate them as a band. Vanessa seems like a waster. Frankie's a DREADFUL singer. I only like Una out of the bunch of them, and it's crazy she's in a band like that considering how much older than the rest of them she is. Age shouldn't be a factor, but she looks silly next to Frankie when you're aware of her age.

will.i.am has scored his first UK solo number one single with 'This Is Love'.
His collaboration with Eva Simons sold over 102,000 copies, continuing the 100,000 sales barrier achieved for number ones over the past month.
The Voice UK coach said: "I've had number ones before with the Black Eyed Peas, but to me this one means so much, because I know people thought I can only be successful in the Black Eyed Peas, they were wrong."
He knocks last week's number one 'Payphone' by Maroon 5 to number two, while Chris Brown lands at three with 'Don't Wake Me Up'.
Flo Rida's 'Whistle' drops one place to four, with Cheryl Cole falling three to five with 'Call My Name'.
Rudimental's 'Feel the Love' is a non-mover at six, while Coldplay and Rihanna's duet 'Princess of China' falls two to seven.
Stooshe drop four places to eight with 'Black Heart', with fun. falling two with big-seller 'We Are Young' at nine.
Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' enters the Top 10 for the first time at ten.
Taio Cruz's latest single 'There She Goes' with Pitbull enters at 12, while Labrinth climbs up four to 13 with 'Express Yourself'.
Muse's official Olympics track 'Survival' lands at 25 after only a few days of release.
Jay-Z and Kanye West re-enter the top 40 with 'Paris' at 18, after their performance at BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend.
Awful top 5 :bored: Pleased Wide Awake has gotten Katy another top 10 hit though, hope it climbs next week.

Brother Leon
09-07-2012, 01:53 AM
Chris Brown has hit the UK No.1 album spot for the first time, knocking Linkin Park from the top spot with his new album, 'Fortune'.
The singer beats American soft-rockers Maroon 5 to No.1, who score the second highest new entry on this week's album chart at No.2 with 'Overexposed'. Last week's No.1, Linkin Park's 'Living Things' drops to No.3.
The only other new entry on the album chart come much lower on the countdown, with Mary Chapin Carpenter landing at No.26 with her new album 'Ashes And Roses'.
Despite missing out on the album chart No.1, Maroon 5 return to the top spot on the singles chart, as 'Payphone' boomerangs back to pole position, ousting Will.i.am, who drops to No.3 with his current hit, 'This Is Love'.
There is little new action in the single chart either, with a handful of new entries close to the bottom of the Top 40.
Blur's 'Under The Westway' proves the more popular of the band's two new releases to enter at No.34 and Dappy's controversial new single 'I'm Coming (Tarzan Pt 2)' is new at No.35. Jessie J's 'Domino' turns up like a bad penny, returning to the Top 40 at No.38.

Digital album sales have surpassed the 100 million milestone in the UK.
Official Charts Company records showed that it took four years from 2006 to reach sales of 50 million and just two further years to double that total.
Digital sales now account for over 34% of albums sold in the UK.
Adele's 21 and Ed Sheeran's + lead the bestselling digital albums of all time in the UK, with 15 of the top 25 being British artists.
"Sales of digital albums are surging ahead as British consumers embrace the convenience, value and choice offered by online services," BPI chief executive Geoff Taylor said.
"As our athletes compete against the best in the world, British artists have taken the gold and silver positions in the best-selling digital artist albums of all time, and six places in the top ten."
Overall album sales in the UK dropped by 13.8% this year, but sales of digital albums have increased by 17.3%. Digital music sales overtook physical for the first time in May.
The ten best-selling digital albums of all time in the UK, all of which have sold over 250,000 units, are:
1. Adele - 21
2. Ed Sheeran - +
3. Lady GaGa - The Fame
4. Kings of Leon - Only By The Night
5. Rihanna - Loud
6. Florence + the Machine - Lungs
7. Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
8. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More
9. Plan B - The Defamation of Strickland Banks
10. Bruno Mars - Doo-Wops & Hooligans
shocked at Plan B :D
I think it's fair to say Florence and the Machine only landed #1 because they pandered to what the charts are all about. I was surprised to hear she's collaborating with Calvin again - I don't like her but I hope she doesn't sell out completely, that would be disappointing for her fans.

Wiley is on course to claim a second week at number one.
The rapper's latest hit 'Heatwave' remains atop the midweek singles chart, while Calvin Harris and Example stay put at number two with 'We'll Be Coming Back'.
© Rex Features / Graham Stone/Rex Features
Lawson are expected to be this week's highest new entry with their second single 'Taking Over Me' landing at three, while Florence + the Machine are at four with 'Spectrum'.
Redlight's 'Get Out Of My Head' rounds off the top five, while Far*east Movement and Cover Drive move up to eight with 'Turn Up The Love'.
Dizzee Rascal lands at 23 with 'Scream', Blur climb 89 places to number 28 with 'Under The Westway' and Icelandic band Of Monsters And Men debut at 35 with 'Little Talks'.
Plan B's iLL Manors moves back up to number one on the album chart, with less than 600 units separating the Top 5.
Emeli Sandé's Our Version Of Events is up to two, Maroon 5's Overexposed is at three, Rihanna's Talk That Talk is at four and Conor Maynard's Contrast slips to five.
On the albums chart that means it could be either, Plan B, Conor Maynard, Emilie Sande, Rihanna or Maroon 5 who are number 1 come Sunday..... (will probably be the lowest selling number 1 of the year...possibly all time)

this Wiley song that's been #1 for 2 weeks now... I don't see the appeal :suspect: and I know I slag off 99% of No#1s... but they're usually catchy :S

I havent heard it so I dont know....just presumed it was the same as, Tiny tempah type stuff.

the only reason Rihanna has #1 album (in the lowest-selling week ever) is because it's so bloody reduced everywhere. I've seen it going at £3 in Tesco, £3.97 in ASDA...
Still too expensive for me :(
Shaun
13-08-2012, 04:32 PM
ikr, i might buy it if it was £2

Why would people spend 99p to hear someone say "on my body" hundreds of times?

Wiley deserves a number 1 simply for everything he has done for the U.K Urban Music scene.
He is right when he says any M.C could top the chart these days, but it takes a special one to do so while ripping up Eskimo Dance etc.

The thing is. The pop that Wiley makes is usually cringey and awful. Wearing My Rolex included. However when he makes his underground tracks it more than makes up for it and for that I genuinely have no problem with him charting with this ****. He's made way for all these MCs charting it's about time he had some real success himself.
