Russia won because of all their offspring (countries that have spun from Russia, i.e. about 5 of them!). Everytime one of them started voting I knew it was gonna be 12 points to Daddy... er, I mean... Russia.

UK did better than usual, which is surprising because our song was terrible.

Latvia, despite being a joke, was actually a good song.

I didn't watch it but I read the results: France was underrated once again. I just watched Russia's performance this morning, just to see what the winner was singing...ok it's not that bad but it's not great.

I don't know who voted for who but I'm sure all the eastern european countries voted for each other hence Russia winning. I'm glad I don't watch it because the political side made the talented side of the show disappeared.

Greece actually disappointed me. Everyone on here had hyped her up so much and she just wasn't as great as everyone seemed to make her out to be.
I thought Russia was better than Greece, and if you go back through a couple of pages, you'll see Russia wasn't even in my top 5.
I REALLY liked Ukraine, and I think they should've beaten Russia, but I'm happy with second.

Like Sir Tez said, the show is far to political now. If we have the best song in the world, we wouldn't win it.

I think when the lines open the presenters should say "Remember, you're voting for the song you like the best!" or something like that. Just to tell people they shouldn't be voting for the country next door because their friendly.

The UK gave 10% of the funding so Germany, Spain and France probably gave similar amounts, thats 40%. All 4 should drop out next year then lets see where the funding comes from.

I was also shocked at Sweden getting so low points.

I do think we don't have a hope of winning again though, we should just threaten to pull out - they wouldn't like to see one of the biggest funders go. To be honest though, the UK and Russia don't have the best of relations anyway, and if we don't pull out because of the block voting, we will pull out because of relations between us and Russia.

but they cant be excluded.there is no proof saying that people in these countries are block voting.we know they are but theres no proof,and even if there was banning certain countries would just be stupid

Of course the European Union. I don't find it fair to have countries who are not in the Union and want to participate. It's called Eurovision, I'm sure in 20 years we will have Iran, Kazakstan and why not China.
That's the main reason I do not watch it.
