I love Kelly, I'm a massive fan but I can't warm to the AIEW era at all!
Thankful's okay, Breakaway is amazing, My December is phenominal - by far her best.
AIEW was a step back from MD +felt like a weaker Breakaway.

She needs to come back with more creative control, more promotion and a better record company. lmfao.

After seeing her live yesterday, I find it very hard to think this album is a flop... considering this album gave her her first UK number one.
Kelly joked about her record label last night and then started singing '2 more records' meaning she only has 2 more albums to go.

Kelly doesn't really want to do pop music, she is contracted to do so. In 2 albums time I can see her having a completely different audience, she wants to write her own songs and be bluesy. I don't believe this is a flop, I think it is a fantastic album... which is a lot different than anything else she has done up too now.
Kelly is never going to be the skinny pop star you all want her to be, she isn't like that.

I disagree, I think some of the songs on the album are fantastic and are nothing like breakaway, songs like 'If I Can't Have You' are a completely new move for Kelly. She is hardly a 'sell out' she hasn't gone against anything she has said, it's just with this album she has had to lean on her record label's side a bit more. She couldn't have another 'My December' because she would then have completely no support from her record label.
There is no way she can win really, she either sounds too samey or too different.

Last night?
She was incredible, its well known Manchester is her fave stop on tour... but the crowd were SO loud. It was amazing, her voice was so on last night, she hit all the high notes and some bits left you screaming... her videos on youtube do not do her justice!
It was a great show with no frills, it was just Kelly on stage with a band of musicians and her amazing voice stole the show, no costume changes or dance routines. The crowd were crazy, everyone near me were wasted and we were jumping about all night and dancing and it got really hot and sweaty... one girl passed out behind us, scary stuff.

My faves from the night were Lies, Walking after Midnight, Already Gone and MLWSWY.
OH and can you spot me in this pic? She took it on stage during MLWSWY and posted it on her twitter. Hint... I am in the middle!

New single "Mr. Know It All" premieres Tuesday August 30th on her official website. Produced by Brian Kennedy who worked on "Disturbia", "Fire Bomb" and "The Last Song" for Rihanna. Also been announced that her fifth studio album is to be called "Stronger" and it's released October 25th.

One early review of the single:

The track is called “Mr. Know It All” and it is AMAZING! Kelly still has the huge powerful voice, but does some new things with it and incorporates some great drum beats and tempo.

In my opinion the background has a “Just the Way You Are” sound and I instantly compared the vocal to Pink, with how raspy Kelly tries to go with it.

I can't see her performing WDKY, no video and no airplay for the song. Only up to Standing In Front of You (her voice sounds incredible in this) atm but so far I'm loving it, no filler tracks, consistently good. I love Dark Side, I really liked the preview of it but the whole song is stunning.

Now listened to the whole thing and it really is a great, consistent album. So many good tracks and only one perhaps two songs I'd consider filler material, the rest were brilliant. Lots of great potential singles. She is truly one of the best pure musicicans of the 21st century. Has anyone heard Thankful, her debut album? I have all her albums bar that one. I've heard A Moment like This, Independent Woman and Beautiful Disaster and liked all three.

Yep, her vocals have been left virtually untouched which is great and sadly a rare thing these days with autotune available. You can tell she had much more control with this album too, like there were some songs on AIEW which just didn't feel like Kelly songs. I hope we do get lots of singles, there are so many single worthy songs on this album.

Dark Side is looking likely to become the third single because it's featured on the album sticker along with MKIA and WDKY (Stronger) which is usually a good indiciation of a future single. Already Gone was on the AIEW sticker and it went on to become the third single. :D

WDKY only got sent to radio this week in the US and it's already at #4 on iTunes and #10 on iTunes UK, so pleased for her :D

So pleased WDKY is doing really well both here and in the States. I was shocked to see it in the top 10 of iTunes (UK) this morning. I didn't expect it to do well because the 2nd single from AIEW, I Do Not Hook Up peaked quite low but I think it's getting good airplay on radio and TV and it helps that it's a great song and IDNHU was not one of her best singles. I hope it keeps climbing.

Alarm bells, seriously!? Does it really matter either way? Most interviews are usually edited to make them sound more interesting, we don't even know if it was edited. She could have said that, she does travel the world a lot so it's perfectly comprehensible that she would pick up phrases from different countries.

Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she has started work on her next album.

The singer admitted that she plans to include a song produced by Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins on her sixth studio album, which she said will probably be released next year.

Asked by Wave 105 host Mark Collins about plans for her next record, Clarkson said: "We're already working. I'm constantly like that because you never know when you're going to find a song and so we're always working on the next thing."

The star then revealed that she has been in contact with Jerkins about the project, adding: "He sent me an amazing song that I cannot wait for people to hear - it's gonna be on the next album."

The new collection will serve as the follow-up to Clarkson's 2011 album Stronger, which reached number two on the US Billboard 200 and five in the UK.
