Apart from Pandora, were any of these characters introduced in Effy's episode in series 2?

Digital Spy give the premiere the thumbs up and say within minutes we've forgotten Tony & co., but I'd still have preferred a transitional third season to phase out the old cast and bring in the new. There is so much to learn about some characters - not so much Tony & Sid, but the likes of Anwar and Jal who were always really in the background.

Maxxie and Anwar needed ALOT more attention though.

I'm giving the new cast a chance, as I wasn't too obsessive over the first cast, however awesome they were. I really don't want it to flop. :sad:

They spent too much time in series 2 focusing on Michelle and Sid; I didn't mind them focusing on Tony because you wanted to see his recovery in full detail, that was nice, but they spent too much time on Michelle and Sid being self centered and depressed, I also really hated what they did to Cassie, and I didn't really get the point in introducing Sketch, because as soon as they'd introduced her she was forgotten and never really used again. They should have spent more time looking at Chris and Jal's relationship, and given us some more detail about Maxxie and Anwar.



However I'm still really looking forward to the new series - I loved Effy, so I think it'll be good, but I'm not really sure how they'll justify her having "friends" because in the first series, she had that loud mouthed friend (I've forgotten her name - Lucy??) who she obviously didn't like, and in the second series she had Pandora following her around, but that was it (and that guy who kept trying to get in her pants) so I'd like to see how this all pans out.

New characters are introduced. Cook, one of the new characters, goes about breaking a bunch of rules so he can sleep with Effy - he succeeds. The rest of the new characters look promising. Pandora's back again! Also Sid's locker features in the first episode, it was a nice little reference to the past two years!

I have to be honest... I didn't really enjoy it. I couldn't even finish watching.

It just seems like a completely different show to me, and they may as well have called it something different. The acting is a bit more overdone than it used to be as well. Most people (read: guys) just seem to like Effy as she's a bit of a slag, which is fair enough. But the storyline etc. just doesn't seem promising. Freddie's pretty hot but not really a redeeming feature for me to keep watching.

Here’s what Skins creator Jamie Brittain told us: Naomi isn’t gay — Emily is, but she’s in denial. Emily comes out over the course of the season when she falls in love with and begins dating Naomi (who is in the process of discovering whether she’s gay or bisexual).

When Emily’s twin sister Katie finds out, she’s not happy about it, so Emily has to contend with that on top of the usual coming-out angst.

Skins has a history of treating gay characters and gay storylines fairly well, with only a few missteps, and Naomi and Emily are both likable characters in their own way, so I’m hoping for the best!

Yeah, I think Series 3 was great so by what everyone is saying the old ones must be amazing. I'm so glad it all on 4OD.

I think Cook is very vile but I have a weird crush on him. Freddie is just phwoar but his perfection-like appearance is annoying. JJ is a bit irritating but meh, there has to be someone like that.

The girls... Effy is **** hot and is me totally lol yah, the twins are interesting - i like both, Pandora is funny and likeable but my favourite has to be Noami! Love her already, shes so funny and I think she will be interesting too.

Overall, I was hooked, I'd say even more than the 1st series 1st episode. Think it will be great! Yay.

I thought Cook's episode was decent one of the slightly unrealistic episodes Ala the russian one from the first series. People are judging it too quickly I think, We've seen one episode that served as a brief introduction to the characters and one episode based on a bit of an unlikable character. If the first series was judged with such scrutiny nobody would have made it passed Jal's episode :joker:.

I think JJ's my favourite character at the moment. He's very endearing.
