How do you add a scrath effect to photos?

I am going to use Scampi's Marvelous banner as an example

Its something to do with adding a texture or something like that? Thats as much as I know.

Use a scratch texture over it, then put the blending mode as 'Screen'.

And plus I wanted to beat whoever else was gonna beat me too it :tongue:

You can either save it to your computer.. and put it on the banner like you would a picture. Then put it over the whole banner and 'Screen' mode it.

Or you and just copy and paste it on and put it onto 'Screen' mode :)

Don't put it as screen though but it as Difference or try something else to make the scratches look nicer. You can do that with other colour textures, thats what I do.
