Ben and Ulrika have been talking in bed about their reasons for entering the Big Brother house.

As they lay awake in the luxury bedroom, Ulrika asked Ben what he thought the show would do for his work profile.

He commented that he had "no idea" and that he had been with his new management company for two and a half weeks before the start of the programme.

Ben said that most of the people he has been working with are in their 40s or late 30s and that he is still only 27.

"I don't look like the back end of the bus, I'm entertaining, I can sing and I can do this," he told Ulrika.

He added that while it is nice to sit in a studio, it can also be very monotonous.

Ben said: "I've always turned down these kind of shows." He then confessed that he chose to go into the house "to raise my profile in order to do other things than sitting in a studio".

The former boyband star said: "I want to break it up with a couple of appearances here and there - do some gigs with A1 or on my own. A1 was five years ago and the public are very fickle and they forget very quickly."

He said that he had asked his management company to organise as much as it can while he is in the house, though he noted that his appearance on the show "could be a disaster" and he didn't yet know which way it had swung.

Well, he's hit the big time now then. His first PA after leaving the house is... Buckley!

And anyone outside of Wrexham won't have heard of The Tiv in Buckley - the sort of club you stop going to when it's legal to get in.

supernoodles!

Take That will be quaking in their boots.

Really though Celeb BB (and I'm a Celeb) do very little to raise the profile of a faded star. Yes, there is a bit of a short term gain but within a few months they are no less or more successful than they were before they went into the house.

Obvioously.
Surely that's why they all do it?
