Secret Story 3 France (or Big Brother 7 France) is back on Friday the 19th and it's going to be bigger than ever according to the producers.
For those who don't know what the show is about, it's basically Big Brother but with some big twists: each housemate hides a secret which they have to keep as long as they can. Each housemates has €10,000 to begin with and everytime they discover a secret, they take the housemate's money away to their own jackpot.

What's new this year ?

-The series will last 14 weeks ending mid-September.
-No live feed this year.
-Some housemates will hide more than one secret each.
-Due to the court order, housemates will be full workers for TF1 and no more 'Reality TV contestants', that means they must have an off-work day, Saturday, when none of the housemates will be called to the Diary Room and no tasks will be done.
-The Friday night live shows will begin at 8:45pm unlike 10:30pm in previous years.

The house:

So the house is inspired from Matrix and Alice in Wonderland.It also has its own secret to discover where hints have been put in it. Mona Lisa paintings will be in every rooms of the house.

I'm not surprised to be honest, Endemol produces the show too. The fans have started a petition and they're complaining on every website they can. The difference with the UK live feed is that it actually was not free, the viewers had to pay but still, they are angry and accuse the producers of manipulating the editing as much as they want to.

I'm not too surprised either about the live feed. This isn't a financial issue because the live feed costed €12 per month. I think it's linked to all the problems Endemol got with the court lately. The housemates aren't players, they're workers so it makes it more difficult to deal with.
I guess they know what they are doing.

TF1 has just confirmed the show will be on for 14 weeks with 18 housemates entering tonight.

Also, Romain's secret may have been discovered...he's a famous actor in the USA, manager of a restaurant in LA and married to a celebrity's daughter. He was also judged 2 weeks ago in LA for beating up his wife.

A parisian paper has also revealed Angie lives in Paris and her only hobby is to spend time with her 2 chihuahuas.

TF1 declared that one housemates has an EXCEPTIONAL secret that we never saw in the history of Reality TV.

Miss France 2006, Alexandra Rosenfeld was supposed to enter the house tonight but under a new appearance. But she refused last wednesday.

-A new housemate will enter next week. For the first time ever, he will share a common secret with another housemates but they aren't linked !

-When Benjamin was telling the countdown at the opening scene, 4 people jumped on him and started shouting the secrets. The Bodyguards took them away.
-Rachel Legrain-Trapani entered the house as Rosa but had a makeover before in order to remain unknown. The second she entered the house, she said 'Hello I'm Rachel'. Definitely screwed, they all guessed she was Miss France 07.
-The Intruders Fraternity had to make their first decision on who is going to enter the house tonight to be their mole. They chose Lea, he entered last.
-Live Feed will be available...on Facebook ! Yep, the producers have decided to write everything down that is going into the house.

Well considering it's friday night, people are on holidays and then another popular Reality Show aired at the same time, 5m is rather good.

However, it's the least watched launch by far, last year, it got 5,5m and the first year 4,978 m.

TF1 is the biggest channel in Europe so their ratings are about 7-8m so it's not so bad.

First night and what a night it has been:

-The housemates don't know what to say to Didier/Alicia because he keeps changing his appearance so they asked him...he's a boy and they should call him like that. However, the boys don't feel comfortable with him.

-First nominations talk. Daniela, Nicolas and Bruno openly said first week nominations are rubbish and the reasons for the nominations aren't worth it. They'd rather see someone evicted on week 2. Daniela already said she disliked some people in there.

-The two enemies, Vanessa and Emilie, who, in order to keep their secret must pretend they're best friends are doing well so far. They have even started to laugh but not talking to each other. The housemates think they haven't seen each other for 10 years and the production team made them a surprise.

-Vanessa, Emilie, François-Xavier and Daniela have already started looking for secrets. They think Elisabeth and Cindy are mother and daughter and that Didier is a ****** in nightclubs.

-Leo pushed the red button which means he think he has discovered a secret....Rosa is Miss France 2007. As he's part of the Intruders Fraternity, he will have to share the €10,000 with Angie, Kevin and Romain.

-This morning, the housemates collected their suitcase...except for Nicolas. His suitcase wasn't there, he started moaning then told Elisabeth he couldn't sleep because she's snoring. Drama coming on then.

-Bitching has officially started. Cindy said that wearing a swimsuit when showering is disgusting...then she took her shower naked, in front of Jonathan and Romain. Her fellow housemates started bitching about what a slut she is for getting naked on day 1. They all went to the bathroom to see Cindy showering, then they all left.
Cindy admitted that her behaviour won't shock her family because she has done worse than that.

Watched the first hour of the premiere and a few more clips now. Love the house and the secret tunnel to the Intruder House - much better than just a secret door! I'm guessing too the tunnel isn't locked so the other HMs have a chance of finding it.

Same studio as last year, which is rather nice. The whole set up is just rather brilliant actually.


Only problem I'm having is watching the rest of the premiere on the website. I downloaded the first part using Download Helper in Firefox, but don't seem to be able to skip to the next parts to get the latter half of the premiere (either to download or watch online).

Plenty of clips on the site though so not really missing anything. I just hope they don't start restricting them to France mid-season. I was keeping a close eye on BB Germany until suddenly they wouldn't let those outside Germany watch the clips.

Brekkie, you're not the only one in this case. I tried to re-watch it by downloading it with Firefow Downloader and it stops at 1 hours. Try with torrents maybe.

TF1 made an effort about the live feed situation. Like you said, they give us news and plenty of videos about what's going on in the house so it's rather cool.

I am starting to get used to the house, it's a very unusual one like this fluo green and this orange everywhere.

The reaction of the fans is the same: this year's cast is the most outrageous, trashy one and has the most potential to be amazing.

I just think some fans turned it off because there is no live feed and because it's the 3rd year now and some people got bored but it still is THE show of the year no matter what.

Anyway, I've watched the latest videos on the official website and bitching has started BIG TIME:

-Daniela, Bruno and Jonathan think that François-Xavier is very rich because he doesn't look like a guy who does work on a daily basis.

-Cindy asked Elisabeth, Lea and Daniela if she shocked anyone and who she did shock by showering naked this morning. She said she won't change because of them, they'd better take it or leave it.

-Today's task is to do a makeover on Rosa (Miss France 07) because she's too shy according to BB. To complete the task, Emilie and Vanessa have been chosen as fashion icons by BB and have to changer Rosa's appearance then the boys will have to rank Rosa out of 10.
However, in her mission to keep her secret, Rosa cried and pretended not to be comfortable in her body. At the end, the boys ranked her 10 out of 10 then the housemates won today's task. Their reward was a bow full of beauty products.

-And Daniela is officially this year's biggest bitch. Her and Elise have decided to target Cindy. Both think she's out next week because she's rude and has no manners. Therefore the girls want to push the button against Cindy. They think Cindy is a porn star. Daniela went to the Diary Room to do it.

-Then Nicolas pushed the button and thinks he has discovered a housemates's secret.

Removing the live feed won't play in their advantage, they are losing viewers. They can also edit the show such as the Matthias and Alexandra incident. He told her 'Are you OK ?' but they edited as 'May I kiss you ?' Live feed viewers understood what was going on.

The main event for the black and white party is as follows

La Voix called all HMs to the garden where on a table there was an envelope with each HM's name on it. In the envelope contained their secret. After they all grabbed their envelope they were told to stand against the wall in front of a large red curtain in the garden.

La Voix informed them that behind these curtains were 2 urns. One black and the other white. Each HM had to put their envelope into one of these urns. At the end of the ceremony one of these urns would be destroyed and doing so destroying any secrets inside. The other urn would have its contents revealed placing the secrets in danger.

I've tried to find the results but theres nothing as of yet.

I always refer to him (or weirdly "elle" in French) as La Voix because technically he doesn't adress himself as Big Brother and pretty much every English speaker can ascertain that it means "The Voice" ie "Big Brother" as proven in this thread.

Right, so a lot happened since last night:

-Black and White party: Big Brother provided them with black and white housemates for the first party. Unlimited alcohol, dinner and music were given.
Of course most of them got drunk, very badly, which means they're going to have fun this year.

-Jonathan & Daniela are playing dirty: Both have decided to make an alliance with each other. To discover the secrets (so to earn some money) they have decided to play the 'we're a secret couple' card. Also, they have decided to share every information about the others.

The girls turned on Daniela: This morning, the girls accused Daniela of awaking them when they tried to sleep a bit more. Daniela felt offended and then complained to Majia and Jonathan who told her to ***** the girls off.

Ah so I was pretty much right about the tutoy-ing. The housemates dont even bother with the "shall we tutoie?" as I have noticed on lots of other shows they just go ahead and do it!

Updates from the afternoon

Rachel/Rosa has dissapeared into the Diary Room for the afternoon and hasnt been seen leading to speculation from the HMs.

Leo has had a secret meeting with his fellow intruders to discuss thoughts and opinions in the secret house.

In the HL lots happened.

Leo confirmed his suspicisions that Rosa is Rachel despite her protests and the fact that Emilie and Vanessa gave her a make over (where she cried and told everyone about her image problems) In the "Tommorow on Secret Story" Rosa emerges from the Diary Room as Rachel

Jonathan and Daniela played up to the fact that people were thinking they were a couple but Jonathan got pissed off and annoyed that she was only interested in using him 100%.

The 2nd consel of the Intruder Fraternity took place with the rules of the fraternity put in place and each member being obliged to wear a chain with the symbol of the fraternity 24/7 until they leave the house.

The house was in uproar over the fact that Cindy showered nude. Despite the fact in the same shower was a naked Jonathan it prompted calls that she is a porn star.

Nicolas buzzed FX and Didier/Alicia thinking that they are a couple.

Elise quizzed FX about why he was rubbish at doing the washing up. She thinks he has very rich parents and has servants doing everything for him.

I cant remember who but people think that Elisabeth and Elise are mother and daughter.

And if I were to download the shows from the official site, it's easier to fast forward through them once downloaded rather than on the built in flash player.

Ok, I have to admit that this season is amazing even if it's a shame that Endemol axed the live feed.

BB France 7 is the better BB i've ever seen since BBUK5.

Anyone know anywhere else videos are being uploaded too (fansite, YouTube channel etc.).

So annoying - was following the series for the first few weeks and then they started blocking some vids outside of France. Kind of even more annoying they block some, but not all - it's all quite random, but seems to be more of an issue at the weekend.


Same thing happened with BB Germany - was following those vids for a good few weeks (and indeed the two or three previous series) and then suddenly they started blocking them outside Germany.


I wouldn't be surprised if C4 are somehow behind this. They've made their own BB unwatchable and blocked UK folk sharing clips - and are probably now behind us not being able to see foreign versions (through the official sites) either.

If someone discovers a secret. He won all of the gains of the candidate in question.
If someone sounds the alarm, but that his proposal is wrong, he loses €5,000 and the money goes into the chest of the other candidate.
