As Marcus and Noirin mentioned they like them, whats your favourite.
Has to be Salt and Vineger Walkers for me...but frazzles a close second.
Oh and just to be accused of being racist, it has to be white bread.

Walkers plain crisps in a ham and tomato sandwich...white bread naturally. Preferably Hovis medium white...it squashes down really well.

I don't think I did. Tomato ketchup flavour is awesome though, I remember eating the tomato flavour balls/puffs out of the tiny bags. I wish I could find more of those.
Nik Naks are another favourite of mine. Scampi and Lemon flavour.

Nice N Spicy Nik Naks are better, but only because your fingers dont stink so bad after them as they do with the scampi and lemon ones. But you're fingers are kinda orangey.
I prefer maize based crisps rather than the potato, not that keen on potato in any form really.
Tortilla Chips though, there used to be a Phyillis Fogg called 'extraordinatly hot' that came in a black bag and they were genuinely very hot and spicy (eye watering), not like todays weak ass 'spicy' tortilla crisps.
And Enid, I have a very fast metabolism (as was in the thread last night about weight, I just can't put weight on I can eat whatever I want). Oh and thanks for wishing me to have a good nights work last night.
when I make pasta bake, before I put the cheese on top, I mix it with two bags of cheese and onion crisps bashed into crumbs... mmmm. It makes it all crunchy on top!

Indeed it was not.. I make the pasta sauce mix with pasta and smoked sausage and onions (sometimes mushrooms) then top it all with big knobs of Philadelphia cheese (which all melts into sauce) then top it all with cheese and crisps. I serve this with salad and diet coke!

I assume by your name that you may prefer French Cuisine? Well thats not much better.
Italian, now thats a real food.
Spanish, love the tapas idea. I like loads of flavours.
Westernised Chinese food, again I like many dishes and pick from each.
English food isnt that great as a whole, especially the love of offal and odd meats. I saw some pigs trotters in a shop recently.
Oh, and maybe the first person to make a crisp sandwich wasn't British, as such it wouldnt be part of are culinary arts.

Meh, I don't get the big emphasis on cuisine. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece for you to enjoy it. Sure I love a proper Italian pizza every now and again, but I'm quite happy buying a frozen one down Sainsbury's.
They have a good deal on the Pizza Express ones down the fresh aisle at the moment. Can't remember the price.
Oh sweet. I'll have to have a look.
And speaking of pizzas, why does Pizza Hut only serve the hot sandwiches in the afternoon? I went down to get a couple, I waited there for 10 minutes while the staff were busy chatting away to the customers, and in the end was told they're only available before 6. Now THAT is a monstrosity!

I've seen others do that, and I often wonder what it would be like....but I also like olive oil on salads and they'd become soggy and thats a big turn off. Put the crisps right on edge of plate and they should be safe from the oil

I think I have missed the cut off point to make it in time today, I can't possibly get there till about 9. Not nearly enough time for dinner, wine, chat about big brother, about how crazy is it that I'm in your house, i make a serial killer joke the mood dies a bit, we laugh it off, then big brother. It'll be to hectic.
We'll have to do it tomorrow, will you pick me up from the station or shall I get a cab.

This is a sandwich worth eathing, it doesn't involve penuet butter, crisps, pickles, bacon or any combination of the four as British people seem so fond of.
What's all the dribbly stuff? Is that ketchup? :cheer2:
They are diced roasted red peppers.

Ahem! Of course it'll be a good chasseur! If yoe leave now, you'll be here in time for dinner, a few drinks then some serious happy dancing in the living room and home again.. you could be home before daybreak!
Wicked!, I assume it would be cool to watch Big Brother when I'm up?
Naturally!
I think I have missed the cut off point to make it in time today, I can't possibly get there till about 9. Not nearly enough time for dinner, wine, chat about big brother, about how crazy is it that I'm in your house, i make a serial serial killer joke the mood dies a bit, we laugh it off, then big brother. It'll be to hectic.
We'll have to do it tomorrow, will you pick me up from the station or shall I get a cab.
How scary would it be if I found out your IP somehow and tracked you down and just turned up. (Don't worry, I won't - sounds like far too much effort).
Er you're scaring me a bit.... ^^
I did LOL though! :laugh3:
Yeah, no your totally safe, Im not that good with PC's, I'm quite lazy, you could be crazy and kill me, and anyway, I'm be posting in this thread until i pass out, im like addicted to it. And it is lunch time........
Glad you LOL'd so I dont seem like a pyscho:thumbs2:
I definitely would not kill you... Although you may die laughing when you see me happy dancing!

Fried tomato's are ok, grilled is the way to go. That sandwich looked nice until I knew what was in it. Would of just picked out the peppers that werent touching anything though.
I have heard eating snails is more for the garlic sauce, but then why not use mushrooms for it, garlic mushrooms are nice.
I ate frogs legs as a kid, weren't bad, but I couldnt eat them again now.

Because they taste amazing, their soft texture, light flavor and perfect compliment to garlic and parsley butter makes them an amazing appetizer to be enjoyed with a nice glass of wine.

Frying a tomatoe takes away all the nature flavors of it, voids it of it's beautiful textues and natural beauty and likens it to something you would find wedged behind the deepfryer at McDonnalds

They make good pets you know. It's fun when you poke their eyes.
Eating snails is *&%*$$* disgusting! I want to vomit thinking about it! I agree those tomatoes look horrible. I don't really mean like that; I mean slightly sauteed in garlic. mmmm Love Bruschetta made with this and mozarella!

Those snails look wrong.
You can test for intelligence with slugs and snails by putting them in mazes made of salt and see if they can escape.
please note - to make large turning circles at dead ends, its only fair.
Welcome back Enid, are you thinking of a crisp sandwich for lunch.
My goodness.. this is rather a long thread just about crisps and sandwiches!

Yeah, yeah. Thats kinda all my fault really.
Had a bad week at work and I finished this morning, so decided to chill and relax, and I have done a fair bit so far. Just got chatty and tended to reply to nearly all posts.
Its been good to get to know some of the members for other things whilst off course keeping on-topic about Marcus and Noirin liking crisp sandwiches and Rodrigo's expectant taste buds.
That and I can endlessly talk about nothing.
But its nice to respond to people posts as well.

It's strange. When I've been smoking, my appetite completely disappears and I tend to go into hibernation mode.
The last time I smoked, I was drinking quadruple V+D's.. I still don't know what happened that night, LOL.

It's bad, I go into cycles, in a bit of a minstrel one at the moment.
In my previous job I was a pub manager for Greene King Pub Company, admittedly it was an 'old man local' pub, but still this is bad - whats a V+D? (other than being close to sounding like a STD)

I don't really enjoy any other alcohol. Wine is too sour, beer and lager tastes like ****, and 'girl drinks' (Smirnoff, WKD) are too weak.

I prefer a nice bloody mary, a tiny bit of sherry (gives it a nice warm feeling that goes nicely against the cold of the ice), measure of vodka (smirnoff blue) few drops of tobasco, lots of worcestershire sauce, pepper, celery salt, squeeze of lemon and a wedge to boot, tons of ice.
Or Gin and Tonic.
Dont like ale, or lager. Cider is ok though.

Enid, I knew I liked you! I always agree with your posts but the Resident Evil thing has just confirmed that you must be a top lass! Everyone takes the p**s out of me for playing computer games at my age but Resident Evil/Silent Hill rock!!
 Hehe thanks.
I decided to switch off the 360 though. I'm playing RE5, vet mode co-oping with my sister. We finished the game before but we just can't get past the executioner stage now.
I've only got a PS2 and Wii and I don't think RE5 is available... :bawling:

Yeah. 360, PS3 and Windows.
Did you play RE4?
Yes I played it on the Wii. Loved it! Might play it again actually as it has been long enough now to have forgotten most of it

I would as well, 'cept my sister thought it was a good idea to lay her hair straighteners on my PS2 while they were turned on! I had a slimline PS2 so the disk cover was completely misshaped and wouldn't close.

I work nights, so it's nothing like as grand as living is Australia, I live actually very near Wimbledon (the tennis) its great these two weeks, you can have the TV on and when a game gets stopped because of rain you know you have to get the washing in as it'll soon be raining here.
I play on computer games as well, everyone takes the piss out of me for it, and big brother as well.
but not for crisp sandwiches.

Lol, I have RE5 on the Xbox, and I have a little fear of dogs (I can deal with them if I have to, but I try to avoid them, I even cross the road if I see one coming). So I kinda like that part of the game.

Aww I adore dogs! Especially working dogs like boxers and dobermans. Surprisingly though, I don't feel bad about killing them in the game. I will shoot anything that will try to eat me.

Small yappy dogs are the worst, I would actually happily have them in a crisp sandwich. They seem to want to bite me (or at least thats what I think).
I'm a cat person, but obviously not in crisp sandwiches.
It's only a game, so its okay to kill them, as we know the difference between games and real life. I've spent hours on Grand Theft Auto 4, just pushing people onto the tracks at the stations, walking further up, and then wait for the train and the bouncy bouncy fun....

I have them both, but I find Saints Row a bit cartoony and so not that keen. GTA is the leader in that field. But once I start playing something I get sucked in.

Yeah, but SR beats GTA with it's customization. I think at the moment my character is wearing stripper boots and she has a bright red mohawk.

Do you have the 2nd one or the First. I haven't played it for ages. nor RE5, that was the game I was playing when I got the red rings of death
Only the 2nd.
RE5 is by far my favourite game at the moment. When I get gold, we could play that if you like.

Don't hold my hand, kill the zombies! otherwise I'll be spending half the time on the floor waiting for help.
Just like a good night out
Seriously though - drink sensibly! spent 6 years working in pubs, seen some bad things and had several people die with alcohol related illness.

Well we have had ham, tomato and crisps before. So you're on similar wave length to two other people.
They do taste nice though don't they.

As Marcus and Noirin mentioned they like them, whats your favourite.
Has to be Salt and Vineger Walkers for me...but frazzles a close second.
Oh and just to be accused of being racist, it has to be white bread.
Cheese and onion.
