The holiday season is just starting, so, is anyone here going on holiday this summer? If so, where are you going and how long are you going for?

I'm going to the Isle of Wight for four days.

We stay in Shanklin and meet up with several other families over there, we have gone to the same hotel for 12 years now, it's on the esplanade.

It's cool that you live on the Isle of Wight though, that would be really cool! The island must be almost empty during the winter because all of the tourists and festival-goers have gone.

Where abouts do you live?

Ah right, sounds good, I used to take holidays over here before we came to live and I always loved it. I live in Shanklin as well.

It's quite nice living over here, quite a difference from when I lived in London though, and yeah it's pretty quiet during the winter, it's a lot busier in the High Street's and down the beach during the summer. But there's not much to do for young people really, and once you've been to Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill etc like 5 million times it becomes quite boring. But meh, we find things to do, there's always the beach afterall.

LOL! I did go stalking them outside their Manc hotel but they sped away out the side. Mark did wave at me at one London gig though and they all looked at me! If I met them I'd probably either faint, cry or scream.

Don't know that road very well unfortunately, but I'm sure I've passed your hotel a few times when walking up through the Chine, so I think I know where it is.

That hotel looks really nice though, and perfect distance from the beach, I bet it's a great holiday. Hope you have a great holiday when you come up.

Northumberland i think :puzzled:
for a week.
We never go anywhere hot.
And whenever we go on holiday it chucks down with rain.
