I guess you're kind of right... this particular one isn't matched betting though it's just using the same site and 'lay' odds rather than betting for something, but it's betting £5 because that's the profit I'll get if I win, it's just a bigger loss for losing. Lmao honestly the more I talk/think about it the more it confuses me sometimes too, like I have to think so hard about making those bets

Yep that makes total sense. It sucks that it all happened at once like that & I get the thinking about the next time/losing again too, it's kind of a horrible feeling going into it after still thinking about the time before and the losses realising it could happen again. And yeah it would've happened at some point but I guess the timing was just pretty bad

Nah it def makes it a lot better tho, I just feel ****ty about the direction it's suddenly going in lately but I'll get over it. I haven't had a loss THIS bad in one day in a looooong time tho so even tho it's not new to me it's a bit of a forgotten feeling that I don't want again I actually feel more nervous/weary of my next gambling session at the risk of continuing to lose now. It kinda makes sense tho like I just had the best gambling week(s) I've ever had and started playing too much / too many games so it was bound to go in the opposite direction - ofc when I lose control and keep entering so many big tournaments is when I have the worst/opposite luck </3 Like if I had the same luck in just one of the many tournaments it wouldn't have been a bad day / even a good/profitable day maybe.

It's basically saying that in that Man City v Burnley game, I've bet for there to be under 3.5 goals scored (laying against it being over that). I bet £5, meaning if there are under then I'll get that back & a £5 profit... but if there are more then I'll have to pay the other person £6.60, so £1.60 more than what I've already bet. I don't think I'm explaining this well though
