Nope 10 is worth less in £ here than it is in $ but I always try to convert it in my mind if not online. I've got a good idea tho. Its crazy to me that people were literally paying more in gym/month than rent/week

But yeah there are some in the $100+ range here but probably for seeeerious fitness people that need their equipment & environment at the gym exactly how they like it. I maybe wouldn't mind paying extra with a basketball court inside but eh not bothered at least for now.

Yeah I think average price here is around £30, I think £15 is the lowest I've seen (in London anyway) so that $10 one sounds like a good deal. There are a few that do contracts here but most don't I think because people don't like paying a lot straight up. This girl went to a gym in Notting Hill (one of the poshest areas) with a pool etc and it cost like between £70-90 a month or something But then she was reaaally into fitness and stuff

Yeah that's possible, he seemed to do everything so effortlessly and I guess maybe even if he spaced his drinks out it's possible he wouldn't get drunk off of just cider. Same I usually just complain about it/not do much until it's over lmaoo. But yeah the more you drink/more hangovers you get maybe are easier to deal with after time (I don't think I'll get there tho ).

Yeah I've paid for a few that were around the $30 range a month when I was younger which is cheap and then there are many that are much more than that which is just a ripoff. Like they're all the same thing when it comes down to it but I get how people get really serious about what the gym has available for their routines. Planet Fitness is CRAZY cheap tho, only $10/month. Many gyms will also charge like a down payment / registration fee & a yearly fee on top of the monthly payments (which at PF it was literally $1 down to start & it's only another ~$60 yearly). Literally the cheapest you can get all-around, by far, and it's not even a bad gym either especially while focusing mainly on cardio, they're stacked in that department.
