Yeah I could see it being really mixed around here. Generally I think people will keep their shoes on when going to someone else's place and see it as rude if they just take them off until/unless the person whose house it is asks them to do so. Like between my friends, they'll usually just take their shoes off immediately and I will do the same at their places but with family we always just all keep our shoes on for family parties at anyone's house lol.

Ahh I can't STAND moths either When we keep the door/windows open at work (before it's hot enough to turn on AC) a moth would come in so often and it'd be so annoying flying around. Do you guys not have like that netting guard/screen for windows so that flies etc. don't get in? Something like this, sooo useful and air still gets in pretty nicely
    Spoiler:

I've never even heard of / tasted orange cookies before Yeah I always see London being kinda like the NYC of the UK idk if it's actually accurate or not but it gives me that vibe

100% all worth it for a trip wherever it is (usually AC tho cause of how much cheaper it is for us ) I need to start taking trips out of state tho to like Florida, Cali, Texas, Nevada etc. Just literally never taken a long-term trip that far in my whole life.

Sooo true I'm usually good with controlling myself (and like to do so) before it hits me bad so that later on I'm not just suddenly fuuucked for the night. It's just too much for me and then I feel so **** the times I do go OTT with it (orangu)... I mean I guess everyone does I just really don't like that feeling

I keep getting moths in my room and I'm soooo scared of them I locked it in a cupboard twice and it got out () then finally sprayed some spray on it and it went outside the door, then ANOTHER one appeared which I just locked away like what the heeeeeeeeeelll

Ahhh literally the same for me Lately I've started drinking before I want to feel buzzed because I know it'll take time to get there. And same, like most people seem to keep at a consistent pace but I always slow down after about 1-2 drinks bc otherwise I'll reach that "didn't know I was thisssss drunk" point

Yeah like literally nobody here wears their shoes inside the house Always take them off straight away at the porch and so do guests, like it'd be seen as sooo rude if somebody didn't. In hostels a lot of people wear shoes inside but I just wear socks/slippers. Omg yes @ barefoot though it's so nice I saw it on a reddit thread earlier but the reactions about whether it's a thing or not were quite mixed lmaoo.

That reminded me I've got an actual bookmark on my laptop of 'orange cookies' I was looking at making them a while ago but idk why because I'm not really a big fan of orange. Yeah like it's pretty common here... I don't think there's been one place I've stayed in which that hasn't happened in (so over about 10~ different locations) They try to be discreet about it sometimes but if they're in a gang calling people over it's kinda obvious/silly. But yeah I'd think it would deffo happen in NY

Yeah that's true, plus I guess people are okay with spending a bit more because it's a trip/not somewhere you'd go every day and it's gotta add to the fun/excitement in the actual casino

Yeah there are some that will stay open way late here too but closing ~3am or a bit sooner is most common in places we've gone to. That sounds sooooo perfect @ going from pub to bed within minutes And lmaooo I'm exactly that type of impatient when I'm drinking! People usually think I'm going for a wild night but I'll usually just slow down (# of drinks, not necessarily the speed) as the night goes on... I'm good once I at least feel that buzz

Lol somewhat true @ shoes inside but not always/very true tho. Many don't like to have people wearing shoes in the house. I personally don't wear shoes inside that often, usually take them right off & I'm even barefoot a decent amount at home But I wouldn't say it's totally false and has some truth to it, maybe a lot more common compared to UK? Who told you that / where'd you read it?

The way he said it, I think he just set me up to think it was actual cookies tbf lol. Yeah my friend doesn't even mention the name a lot of the time but sometimes he does. I'll remember it if it's something unique Naaah I don't think I've ever had that happen. They'll literally try to do business with random people on the street then? That sounds so careless from them like they can get in trouble so easily that way London's probably wild like that tho loool, I feel like I could expect to come across that in NYC at some point if I lived there.

I mean it still varies but yeah I'd say drinks & entries are mostly more expensive around there (my friends normally looking for a cheaper spot no matter where we go anyway). But especially if you go to one inside one of the actual casinos, they can afford to over price anything and still get business cause people are looking for quick and easy access to party. Still worth it for a good time imo tho

That's average for most pubs here But bars stay open usually till 1-2am, then clubs would be even later and in central it's probably even longer like 4-5am. Yeah it's nice as well because you kind of have the option of what you do every night. Like say you're with friends in the pub then just get tired/don't want to socialise anymore you can just go to bed

Lmaoo I've recently started to go slower and I think it's kind of more fun/night lasts longer (and worth it if it stops a hangover), but with my friend I would literally drink 2 drinks in the time he had 1 just because I was so ready to get drunk

Ahhh not you thinking it's real cookies But tbf I definitely would've thought the same. Like I don't think my friends use/talk about the names thaaat much (unless I'm just unaware ). Yep I think my friends all pretty much go to the same person as well. But say you were walking just anywhere around your area at any time of the day, do you get people who come up and ask if you smoke?? Happens quite a lot in London (at least to me), there was one time I was walking in a residential area and this guy asked if I smoke and even tried to give me a professional looking card with his details on but I said no anyway

Ohhh that's pretty good @ the room Are all the clubs way expensive there compared to normal ones? Yeah I get that, I definitely prefer hanging out/doing things with just another 1-3 people or so especially when going out somewhere.
