Ahh not me always mentioning poker tournaments & you not even knowing how they work exactly, oop Different # of entries & tons of varying buyin amounts but it’s different from playing regular poker where any hand you win or lose is money won or lost. In tournaments let’s say you play a $50 tournament, you’ll get like 10,000 poker chips to play with but the money comes based on placement. If you lose all your chips you’re out and it goes on until one player is left with all the chips & they take the 1st place prize. Top 15-20% usually win some money so the goal is to at least last that long with chips to make a profit rather than lose the $50. So like 100 people, top 18-20ish will win like $100 & the winnings increase the more places you last after that with the big money being top ~3 places.

Yeah I just feel like there's only so much to say with some people and also quite a few of my friends are **** texters so it's just like what's the point lol. Although this convo did inspire me to message a bunch of people last night I haven't spoken to in a while But yeah sometimes it's too much effort to keep up with a lot of diff people.

Yeah I got way used to it and now anything feels so bland without some spice Chipotle is a slay too but not that common here

Still a nice win How many people enter the tournaments or does it vary? And do you enter at like... a fixed price? Nope I've got literally no idea about it, explain more

Well I was doing GREAT in a few different tournaments and those are top-heavy where 1st place prizes were like $6,000ish, $2,000ish, etc. I didn't even get close to that point but it was looking very possible with how well I was doing (racked up a lot of chips in one tournament in particular but fell way short of the big win). I think I had like $500 in winnings altogether but including the total ~$300 I spent in tournament entries it was like a $200 winning day which is still nice tho. Do you get how the poker tournament structures work btw? Idk if I need to explain more if you know it already or if you're more interested about that if you don't know

Yeah aside from my couple best friends I feel like I get tired of people / they get tired of me so any contact with them slowly dwindles until we just stop talking Not even getting tired of each other tho but like just... other stuff going on & too much effort to keep following up. I like to just keep in touch with people I have a legit connection with but I do stay associated with those people constantly

Ohhh does it? Damn you LOVE spice then? I'll have sriracha or (usually) regular hot sauce like once a week / every couple weeks but it's so good I should be using it with more food

Yeah exactly, I'd only consider a few people to be 'close' friends really otherwise just casual friends but I kinda like it that way. No ties and you can choose whenever you want to talk/hang out. Ahhhh A few people described London as being like that after the streets were dead and everything got shut down

So true I'll literally take it with anything, pretty much every meal I have includes sriracha/hot sauce

Omg that's great How much do you think you could have potentially won? A win is always better than a loss though no matter how big/small. Maybe it's just the beginning one another of those streaks

Ah yeah I’m also that way with a lot of people, like acquaintances & friends that I’m not as close with I just won’t keep in touch with anymore after a while usually. Living in London and moving around, there’s prob a lot of that. “I still haven’t gone into the outside world” sounds like a journal for someone in an apocalyptic movie or something

Yeah they’re varying spice levels but they usually do have some kind of kick I feel like I’d for sure like those cauli wings too since hot sauce will elevate the taste of everything

Poker went solid I won ~$200 It was going sooo well earlier in the day tho that it’s still a bit disappointing how it finished tho. Sad to think that about $200 since it’s a good amt of money but I was feeling like I was gonna make it FAR in at least one tournament & have another BIG winning day which has been a while since my HOT streak a few months back.

Yeah you do have to keep it up a bit/be consistent but then I think once you get right back into it then it won't take so long to feel like you've made some progress again. Ahhh put the pizza rolls back Yeah like I spoke a lot with people/friends every day on text and in person but a lot of that stuff was either like... related to living together, about other people we knew etc, or general London stuff? Now I don't really know what to talk about I STILL haven't gone into the outside world since being here. Idk when I will because there's not really much point rn, maybe some time next month though.

Are buffalo wings spicy? Vegan ones might even exist but I haven't seen them BUT I've had really spicy cauliflower wings at Xmas market before and they were insaaanely good Oh and Papa Johns do cauli wings here with a hot sauce which are super nice too

    How did poker go btw?

I feel like I/most gain back a lot easier/quicker than losing weight Idk I just feel out of shape in the same way I felt before I started getting serious about the gym & that was prob like a year ago. I've gotten a bit lazy at times but now in quarantine it literally just went to NO exercise & I'm just not giving af about what I'm eating either but that needs to stop soon. And mess I'm still talking to friends regularly but I get what you mean & it's gotta be worse for you being at home / away from London. It really is opposite now like I was out every day for work and so on during the week and hanging out like every weekend just before this corona and now I'm just at home 95% of the time only even leaving if it's necessary

Oh you spicy All spicy flavors do slay. I know you don't eat meats but buffalo wings >>>>> (a top tier fave food).. do you ever get like vegan buffalo wings? I assume they're a thing since there's vegan versions of everything

Yeah and if they were already living here it was probably fine anyway but people get paranoid There were videos going round online of like people avoiding them on the tube and stuff before it was even a thing here

You were going to the gym for a while though so it's probs not as bad as you think, but I get the feeling lazy about it I'm literally sat down for the majority of the day now and gone from total opposites... like walking around everywhere, chatting with everyone and now I'm in my room all day and only people I chat with are you and one of my other friends on a regular basis

Yesss always get sriracha @ Subway, but that or any type of hot sauce with anything basically slays

I'm guessing that's why a lot of them closed, like they didn't want to deal with that stuff. People are dumb tho like it's not like all the Chinese are carrying corona And ahhh that's true what difference does a few hours in the day make

Maybe that's what I'm waiting for. Nah but I really do need to start I feel kinda sluggish and like I've undone all the progress I was making while I was dieting/going to gym. The quarantining just makes me so lazy Also I'm the same, I gotta hit the time limit I set or the # of reps/sets I decide to do, it just doesn't feel right not to.

I've had it on fast food items a few times but it's not something all that common. Not sure if it's sold in stores I've never really noticed it. Something I should look for tho cause I never thought of buying it for home and it really is soooo good. Can't go wrong with sriracha
