Yep literally just a waste of time lol. Yeah both my parents drive and got separate car/van. I never learned though, always been waaay scared of the idea and it just doesn't appeal to me really. Well like in London it's soooo pointless having a car bc of all the buses/trains/tubes/DLR, but then if you're gonna live somewhere like here you'd need one, but I'd say overall less common here. And I've heard that US public transport is pretty bad too?

Yeah it's easy to chat online but when somebody suggests hanging out I kind of back off a bit bc I literally can't have that many friends who are like... close ish or it gets too much Ahhhh nooo I know sort that of situation, it's soo awkward and just feels blatantly obvious that the conversation is gonna be forced/minimal lol. That's one reason I'm kinda glad I don't live in the town centre of my area tbf

Yeah like if I moved away to a different city or state after high school idk how often I'd actually follow up with anyone or if I'd even talk to my friends as much. Maybe I would cause of social media & just texting/calling but I get why you'd move on and have other friends etc, it'd prob be kinda similar for me too. Ugh that reminds me one time I had an awkward walking away moment at the store. I looked away, took out my phone and just called anyone but he already saw me in that moment and came up to me anyway. Like I just hung up right away and I had like an "ohhh hey" type of reaction, felt ****ty I'm pretty sure he realized I didn't want to talk with him

I think maybe people use olive oil (gross) or vinaigrette (gross) but that's about all American mustard is sooo **** compared to English btw It's the same as HP sauce if you know what that is? People usually have it with English breakfast tho lol

Yeah I could deal with it if the shops were even an hour walk away but 2 hours is kind of taking the piss a bit. Love areas like that though, I've stayed in a few places where the house is down a side road but you just walk for 5-10 mins to reach the shops Also do you know/talk to people around your block/neighbourhood? I was shocked by how hardly anybody does in London ever

Yeahhh I do but not a lot, & moreso the first like 2-5 years after high school. Sometimes had random following ups from social media for short periods of time or a random hookup (orangu)... Loool @ it being awkward, it’s not bad If it’s someone I knew that I meet on the streets (esp if I didn’t know them well or liked them) it’s weird tho / usually don’t end up saying anything if I can avoid it.

Yeah I know that’s just what I first pictured I feel like it’d be nice tho just if there were actually stores & places to go within range. That’s what I really like about here ngl, it’s off the main busy roads yet only blocks away to get anything needed
