Yeah he's kinda like that, like he'll have a story and then just end up mostly complaining about something random in it Basically long story short his fiance got in a big fight (like insults back and forth) with a nurse that works there when they were in the parking lot over some parking misunderstanding. And something about how he had to leave a pee sample by the main desk because of some confusion about where his doctor was and no one knew what he should do with it and some other lil things... idk it was honestly pretty confusing and I was partly trying to watch Survivor while he was talking

Ahh btw not quarantined in like some random place, they just advised he should quarantine himself in his house and not get into much contact with people for a week. I think they just say that to anyone with cold/fever symptoms tho just to be safe.

Well actually my internet was ****ing up really bad early on too, like dragging on the robot effect voice when it's lagging So there was quite a bit I missed as well. I think the beginning was the most boring part though, there was nothing that I recall from it

Oh I guess they tested that first to see if there are any underlying health problems maybe... but @ him talking about the staff more than the virus/reason for being there. Mess @ being quarantined though if it's just a regular cold or something

I missed pretty much everything in the episode until after the challenge cause my friend (who's sick) decided to call me when Survivor starts (He didn't say much btw basically he should be fine but he didn't even get tested for corona they just checked his lungs etc. and told him to stay quarantined for at least a week. Idk it was weird. But the call was more about the hospital staff being annoyances to him & his fiance, apparently reeeeally ghetto and unprofessional lolol - but too much to even get into)

Anyway, did anything interesting happen around the beginning? I'll prob have to re-watch.

Yeah nobody is here too much either My roommate just came back a little drunk from some bar/pub even. Depends how much lockdown is enforced I guess though... like I don't think they'll be policing people about where they're going but I've heard that in Spain you can get like thousands of £ worth of fines for going out non-essentially etc It's all really messy and there's not even like a solid/straightforward way around everything.

Yeah I am Literally staying up for it tonight even though I'm so tired. Excited

I'd have to try and work something out to stay here for a month or so, because with the situation when I DO go back home it really could be for a long time now.

NOT freedom now we're going into lockdown But yeah I know what you mean. It'll be different for sure and there are pros to it like no travelling etc. @ your boss being more prepared for coronatakeover than any of our countries right now. It's crazy as well because they've said that the peak could be June/July which would be a disaster...

I'm self-isolating the past few days I guess aside from going to work BUT I'm not taking it too strictly either, people are just more wary of making plans and stuff. Although last night one of my friends was already talking about hanging out this weekend so I think I might I guess as long as you're not with huge groups of people, you're pretty unlikely to get it. The 8:00 curfew is supposedly REALLY getting regulated tho, like cops are giving tickets to people apparently... but I heard something how if you're coming home from work that late, then you're fine.. just not sure how that works proving it to them.

Watching BBCAN right now btw and Survivor after. You watching Survivor tonight?

Damn.. what are you gonna do if they close? Would you go back home? Or still just can't do it?

I think here there's going to be a way to get unemployment tho if this goes into a legit lockdown eventually. Maybe there's even a way now idk. Yeah this is my first time working from home, the freedom should be nice but idk what to expect. Btw for like a year now we always clock in and out from work on a phone app so that's pretty handy for my boss for a situation like this. It's like he was prepared for this This whole thing is sooo bizarre tho. Never seen the world flipped upside down like this over some virus or who knows what

Yeah it's probably the best option or things could get really messy by keeping work open even when people aren't well. I think here people are trying to work from home if possible, but also the people who can't that work in like shops/bars/pubs still go to work bc everyone's stressed out about the jobs/money situation side of it I guess and don't want to lose their jobs either. Nowhere is like forced to be closed though right now so it's up to each individual place what they want to do. I'm pretty sure hostels will close though when lockdown happens just as hotels do

I bet you've never worked from home before right? Corona is literally doing everything new to the world And are you doing the whole self-isolating thing at the moment?

Definitely felt like a wild day especially since I drove back and forth from work an extra time just to get my laptop to set things up. I'm kinda relieved to be working from home now tho, should be interesting.

Yeah the hostels seem like an odd/tricky situation. Would they not keep them open to people? Also do you know any info on what's going on with jobs & businesses over there? Are there many/any working from home now & any places closing down etc.??

Yeah, a lot of companies that are able to do it are having people work from home now but it's pretty much up to them. A couple people I know have already started to work home, my boss has been considering it for days to like a week now and maybe my co-worker being sick got him to finally do it or he was planning on getting it done today anyway. Certain businesses are pretty much being forced to close down for now but right now things are very vague around here on what most businesses are forced/advised/recommended to do. I think it's supposed to be made more clear by like Saturday or next week. My friend isn't really updating right now but he basically said he's fine just still not feeling well so he'll prob let me know more later. You're prob right on it being minor which is a relief
