It doesn't seem like too much when you put it like that but it would add up a lot over time Does anyone NOT do it there? Like would they ask you to if you didn't or is it just seen as polite??

This is one that is in London:

It probably is over the top... do yours look anything like that lmao

I've been to a few before in England and had pancakes/nachos and they were GREAT

One of my friends who goes to NYC quite a bit said that a lot of them stay open like all night as well... is that true?

People usually leave like 10-20% of the meal, that's usually kinda the standard, and usually on the higher side. But I/most wouldn't give any less than $2 for a tip either So like $10 -> $2 tip. $20 -> $2-4 tip, kinda like that. But for the most part even if I'm with a group we won't go much higher than like a $10ish tip no matter the price.

Ahh I wanna see what those look like over there! You guys prob try to make it overly stereotypical or something to fit some American vibe

Well I actually can't stand gin but weirdly in tea you can hardly taste it

Was discussing with my friend the other day about the tip thing in America... how much % is it that you have to leave? The thought of giving tips is NOT okay with me Mess @ the tax and tips coming to more than what a meal costs I had them a few times in Birmingham and every time it was good

Also we actually have a few American diners here. We've got Ed's Easy Diner but I've seen a few random/non-chain ones around too in places. The vibe is soooo cool/bright compared to any of ours

Gin & tea I don't think I could do that combo but yeah that makes sense

I haven't been to this place or any Japanese place in a bit but I think it's not that expensive at all I could be in for a shock tho And I'm just not big on tea so that's why I'm never a big fan of even bubble tea but I remember this place does them right

    Ahhh, get us generic Americans

I had a bit of gin in my tea but it wasn't enough to even get tipsy tbh I think the water in the tea stops it from happening?

That sounds nice Japanese food is gooood (sushi obvs the best). The Japanese restaurants are like super expensive here though... are they there? Omg bubble tea is amazing The lil squishy balls are so cool and they do loads of different flavours. Shocked @ y'all not going to a generic American diner though

Screaming @ tripping over yourself on the pavement

Ahhh definitely a time to reward yourself and chill with some drinks then I'm gonna be going to this "Teri Teri" place with some friends a little later, it's like this Japanese place, great teriyaki food. But their specialty is making those bubble/boba teas. Do you ever have those? I'm not even a big fan of them but they do make them preeetty good

I'm pretty clumsy even when I'm not drunk I always do that thing where I sort of trip over myself on the pavements... so being drunk just makes it a lot worse

That's maaaad. Yeah they've been charging us for bags here for quite a while now. The prices of them have even gone up lately I've seen. I saw one that was like 20p Proud to say that I've never paid for one though I usually just go to an off-license and get one for free. Imagine if you paid for one every time, you'd spend so much money on nothing

    Yeah way too many

My friend is out for the day till evening and I've done like aaaall the chores here (still doing it actually but I'm having breaks in between bc boring) and he's got loads of drinks here... tooooo tempting

Ahhh not you being an unbalanced clumsy drunk yesterday I haven't gotten to the point of thaaat drunk in a while, at least not like falling over. I hope you don't start doing that regularly now

Yuuup, you go in with $5 and NOPE, can't afford something that says $4.75 on the price tag Some places even charge you for a bag here now. Is it like that over there? It's only like 10c, 25c, stuff like that but still... it's a damn bag that should be automatically given to carry your stuff

Lolol that's funny, some guys think they're a God

After sleeping it went away fully for today Woke up super early too at like 6:30am or something. It was pretty bad... when I got to my friends place I could NOT balance and like... hit my head on the wall too which didn't help

Y'alls tax on like general items is something which I was so shocked to find out about. Like you go into the supermarket not knowing how much money you'll spend even when the prices are there

Yeah I think they want to be the one to turn them or something I've even gotten that loads of times with my sexuality. Like "well with me it'd be different!!!" Yeah no

Yeah if you have a bad headache after drinking a lot that's gotta be a hangover kicking in. I don't really even know how long it should take, if I get one it's usually just the morning after though so idk And yeah I definitely make sure not to drink a lot before work days or else RIP at work

Ahh USA is just toooo expensive to live in. College tuition, insurance, just general cost of living all tooooo high!!

And loool idk why a lot of straight guys are so attracted to lesbians and want to try to get with them etc. I guess for the challenge or something or wanting something they just can't get. It's funny tho
