I don't really know exactly as I haven't looked into it enough especially in a while but estimates that I know of are like... at the minimum about $600+/month for like a ****ty 1 bedroom type of place. Depends on the area a bit and usually it'll be like $800-$1000/month or more. Most are pretty well over the $1000 range. With my car & student loan payments (plus other stuff but those are the main two) I'd be struuuuggling even taking some run down cheap apartment

What sort of prices are the rooms in NJ (although maybe you don't know bc you're not in one)?? All the Americans I've spoken to have said it's even higher over there than in London

Yeah with gambling it's easier to stop because like... losing money gets tiring if you stop winning and just can't afford to keep going. It's like at a point you have to be forced to stop if it gets bad. With alcohol it's not as costly and it's kinda different unless you start feeling sick like alllll the time. Just be careful not to over-drink again
