Ahh I think the main difference with Canadians is like how they say words with "ou" in it like couch. Or even a single "o" like they say "sorry" different, it seems closer to UK with that. But yeah preeetty similar overall.

Yeah I think Southern ones are stronger but if somebody just spoke I wouldn’t be able to place where in America they’re from. I think I’ve gotten better with noticing the difference between American and Canadian now though... I just see how much I like it and if I LOVE it then it’s probably American And yeah it’s definitely easier to know if you’re from there.

I’m in the worst hostel right now. It’s full of old people who have stayed here for like 73829382 years and crazies who just walk around and don’t talk.

Yeah for me it's mostly just the north and the south that I can tell differences but even then it's not always that clear. Like people from Texas/Tennessee/Georgia & around there down South usually have pretty distinct different accents. Then there's places like Boston/Massachusetts & Staten Island/NY that have very obvious accents. Jersey has a lot of thick accents too but I think that's more stereotypical or at least I don't realize it unless it's REALLY thick (Enzo-esque) because I'm so used to it

Because here I can get like a basic idea... maybe Northern/Midlands/Southern but not like specific locations most of the time. Although most people guess I'm actually from London or the South

Nah I just found Enzo funny although it was also very obvious to me from the start that he was either from NJ or Staten Island-ish NY based on his thick accent. I do tend to like a lot of people from Jersey on these RTV shows and a lot of times I don't even know they're from NJ until after/later!
