How does your bf feel about the place and those first impressions since I think you said he wanted to look more? Is he happy with the decision now too after you guys have settled in? That’s a great landlord, fair and impartial I would’ve probably assumed the same tbh

Long Island iced teas just have this bitter taste with a hint of that iced tea vibe, bit of a lemon taste but it did come with a lemon I squeezed and put into it too ... I remember it being even more bitter in the past than it actually was tho. Still I’d obviously rather just have a sweet lemon iced tea unless I’m looking to get drunk

Loooool so much @ all of the throwing up story. I do think that maybe when you're drunk you'd act in a different way though and it's possibly better because you're more careless in general? I still can't imagine you being mad/annoyed about anything

Yeah it's okay, the thing that bothered us the most was that the landlord is Portuguese and most of the housemates are Portuguese/Brazilian so naturally we figured as they're long-termers and of the same nationality he'd take their side, but actually it turned out fine and he listened to us.
I guess I'm actually ready for a change now and I've enjoyed every day I've spent with my bf so I haven't really thought about it at all.

I'm still yet to try SO many cocktails because I'd never pay my own money for anything besides Pina Colada in case it's disappointing What does Long Island Iced Tea actually taste like? Amaretto sour sounds AMAZING Deffo my kind of drink! So much money spent But as long as you had a good night it's fine.
Yeah I literally can't even stand walking past clubs But yeah it's because loud music/dancing is the biggest turn-off for me ever.

It sounds awful but the fun for 90% of the night out-weighed the bad and I managed to leave the place content with a puked on shirt in hand *orangu emoji* - I mean I guess that IS taking it better than I should have nnnn

Me separating this into 4 wall posts because I KNEW it'd be incredibly long altogether. But ok I need to stop talking about this now lol. I've gone in tooo much detail at this point.. and it's kinda becoming my lasting memory of the night whenever I think back to it over the last few days and BLEGH it's makes me feel sick. :/

Oh & again I think it's coming across like I was more ok with the puke than I was I was def a bit dramatic/mad (me mad ) when I realized what happened but mostly just with one of my friends that was near. It was more "what the fuuuck?!" / so disgusted / a rushing to the bathroom type of panic than thinking "the night is over" tho Like in my drunken state in the bathroom I literally first thought going back out with that shirt still on by tossing some liquid soap & water on it and trying to dry it with the hand dryer & toilet paper... I did this for minutes, I was def not thinking rationally either At the same time I was definitely freaking out for a few mins in there (not crying or anything but majorly stressed and grossed out) but once I took the shirt off and started calming down, I started to get somewhat ok. Although my friend told everyone or most of them what happened too so that was pretty embarrassing.

I started with a big glass of Corona, then my friend started buying rounds for a couple of us: Long island iced tea (I remember talking about how those are gross literally like a month ago but it was decent ), amaretto sour (twice, these were amazingly sweet, not a hint of alcohol taste really) and some other drink I never tried or seen that were apparently high alcohol content but I can't even remember the name, not the best tasting either. I ended up paying for the second amarettos for me & 3 others and they were like $13 EACH so after tipping I got $3 back from $60 Place was free to get in (or $10 after 11:00) so I guess that's the tradeoff but that's still just crazy lol.

Overall I'd say I prefer clubs unless there's a good sports game for the bar (I know you hate the LOUD music I love it, especially because it's exactly my type of genres lol)

Oh wow it does sound like a MESS (ironic with the place being nice & clean) Doesn't sound like the best first impressions (flooding the bathroom floor and leaking through??? nnnnoooo) but you'll probably get used to the people there over time. I would've thought you would miss the hostel life tho cause you always said how great they were and basically never disliked any of them. Still, moving on and transforming to the house life should be nice!

That's so gross, she must have been REALLY ****ed to do that. Like usually you can at least control it enough to run off to the bathroom but she was probably too embarrassed to come back afterwards.
It's awful how in clubs you can't even talk to people... it's pretty much just made for fun/dancing/music What did you have to drink there? And do you prefer clubs or pubs/bars?
I think if I'd been drunk and it had happened I would've been even more dramatic about it tbf

Yeah just a double bed/room for us. They're okay I guess but they're mostly kinda old and a bit moody and they're long-termers Had one guy saying he's the 'manager' of the house because he's stayed for like years and he's the landlord's cousin. He tried telling us how to shut the door quietly and **** Then yesterday one guy flooded the bathroom floor, it leaked through to the kitchen and when I tried to tell him he was just so rude, didn't listen at all and slammed the door shut so I complained to the landlord about him. /rant
I've been staying with my bf (in a different room and another hostel for a week) for 6 weeks now I actually surprisingly don't miss it because we've been doing things every day together and I've been so busy that I haven't even thought about it
