Ugh yeah that's annoying, it's like it's better to say straight up if you don't want to/are busy or for whatever reason you won't be there.
This guy is only somebody I've known for 1-2 weeks or so, but I guess I base friendships more on quality over quantity. We legit spent like 8 hours a day for 4 days smokin/drinkin/watching tv and just chatting/hanging out. I also kinda moved places (as he got moved to a different place) to be there with him... like sure I prefer this place anyway but I made a specific effort to ask the staff even though they told me I wasn't supposed to. And I asked him to stay and hang out downstairs and he said he'd be back in a min, but disappeared for like half an hour and when I text he said he was going for a shower then popping out, said again he'd be there after but just... didn't. Idk maybe I'm just being like too much or something But he's very chilled out so maybe that's just the way he is, I guess I don't know him well enough to know.

Also I met a guy from South Florida today and he says "y'all" and likes country music I've realised too that I think I get on with Americans more than anyone else... there hasn't been a single one I've met and not gotten on with unlike basically everywhere else (English people come pretty close too).
