Always better to have too much than too little for sure. Yeah I get why It's not too expensive here (it can be done cheap, food isn't that expensive and travel can be cheap providing you use buses instead of trains). There are so many good places I wanna see though, I dunno if a month would be enough

It is, and yeah I'd say $6,000 is probably more accurate for a minimum to take than $5,000. The cost is the main reason I don't even travel within my own country.

GBP to $ is in my favour so that's not too bad. Yeah my guess was going to be around £5,000 which is like 1,000 more in $. I'd be pretty cheap with food I think and I'd also go for a hostel which might even work out cheaper. Thinking of going potentially late next year when it's colder for some travelling, I've been looking around online and it seems as though USA is one of the most expensive travel experiences

Hmm, if you get everything on the cheaper side and don't too much travelling within the US it'd probably still be like a few thousand dollars (not sure how that converts in pounds but I don't even know a better estimate in dollars either ). I'll try to guess. Hotel rooms for 30 days would at least be like $3,000 alone I'd imagine. If you spend pretty cheaply on food (like $15 per meal; $30-$45/day) that's still probably like $1,000 for a month as well. And at least $1,000 for other spending money & travelling (not counting the plane tickets - which idk anything about as I've never been on a plane or bought them ). So like $5,000 might be enough?

How much ($) would you say would be necessary for travelling the USA for a month or so?

Yeah I often do that too, or just something to keep to 'remember' it by or something. And yeah, when it's other people's money I spend it much easier.

True. I remember I used to buy stuff anyway just because so that I could have something to give to my family members. It was really a waste of money. But it was money my parents would give me for the purpose of buying stuff anyway.

School versions usually never work that well. We used to have fairs/fetes and everything was always just really expensive. The kind of stuff you look at but don't buy.

Ah, as a kid my school used to (try to) replicate this around Christmas time in a big room and everyone would go around and see if they want to buy something. It was mostly gifts with a few food options as well.
