I'm sure she's absolutely fine, what you're doing seems the much more sensible option to me, plus if she was jaundiced they would have known that when you were in hospital.

Well she's given you the advice but imo it's your decision, you're her mother. I think waking a new born every couple of hours and force feeding them sounds horrendous though. I would do what you think is best personally

Some of them midwives are right ****ing annoying bints. You should trust your instincts, just tell her yeah I'm doing that I wouldn't be force feeding anyone, you'll know yourself if there's something up with her
