Sooooo

Will Thursday or Friday be a good time to have a day in Scarborough and Whitby ( travelling from Manchester ) ??

Maybe the roads will be quiet if everyone is at home watching the TV or at street parties ?!?

The Queen has had a great start to the week. She woke up this morning to see those booing Liverpool fans devastated by defeat and that some of them got locked out of the ground and tear-gassed and the coach didn't turn up for some of them to take them to Paris.

Don't mess with The Queen, she has contacts.

yes nice fresh sunny day at 14 C max due to the wind being from the NE

But if you keep out the wind it will feel nice

great bracing day for a walk on the beach

I’m thinking more about the traffic on the roads .. I’m wondering if it will be easier or a complete nightmare with everyone being off work

early thursday should be ok?

smudgie 29-05-2022 11:22 AM

Whitby is normally jam packed all the year round. Never mind holiday weekends.
But well worth the hassle.

What about the jubilee aspect ??

Will things be busier or quieter ?!

Thoughts ??

i think the majority of people will treat it like an extended bank holiday without a thought for it being the jubilee. I know I won't be celebrating

£1billion to celebrate an old woman being privileged for 70+ years, where’s that money hiding when there are millions of people struggling just to feed and house themselves? Honestly sickening

Queen honored with Stonehenge tribute ahead of Platinum Jubilee

[This tribute to Queen Elizabeth II really rocks. The 96-year-old British monarch was honored with portraits of her projected onto Stonehenge, as part of the annual Platinum Jubilee, celebrating her 70 years on the throne.

The stones feature eight portraits, including a photo from the queen’s coronation in 1953, a picture of her riding a horse in the 1960s, an appearance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2017 and more.
“We’ve brought two British icons together to mark the #PlatinumJubilee! We’ve projected eight portraits of Queen Elizabeth II onto Stonehenge,” said the English Heritage organization, which cares for the historic landmark, in a statement on Twitter. “Each picture is from a different decade of The Queen’s reign.”]
……………….
What a lovely tribute.
