Oddly enough I saw a documentary a while back which mentioned that Big Sam was the first to take a lot of things like diet / nutrition and apply loads of modern techniques that were unheard of at the time

Ha !

Very convenient for Captain Marvel ( Rice) to rule himself out poorly for the biggest challenge/ defeat in West Ham’s history !!

Interesting to see the West Ham midfield flows much smoother without Rice !!

Moyes has not beaten a team in the top 6 since 2010

Never liked him never rated him ( or his lack of style play

Look at the skill he’s got to work with Paquetá , Benrahma , Lanzini , Bowen , Fornals , Emerson ..

Tbf I never said that.

He has obviously taken the money offered to him, and tbf he does love Chelsea so I have no doubt that he is trying his best.

However Boehly should've looked at how Lampard had done at Everton as a clue.

If Bohely gets bored with all this losing, accepts his huge losses and tries to sell Chelsea, who's gonna want to buy them? It's becoming a scary reality that this could be the beginning of the end for Chelsea as a PL football club. I fear the absolute collapse of Chelsea football club is imminent.

Speaking as someone that has been supporting a club that looks like it might finally be getting out of this similar situation next season.

Being honest this might take a few years to fix, because I can see Boehly being like BSHL and stubbornly sticking around being a poison chalice.

But Chelsea are too big to be liquidated I think, I'm reasonably confident that people would come in to try and save the club if it ever became a serious possibility.

that fits with his statement where he wanted to go to a club with integrity

He played under BSHL ownership.

The integrity ship has long sailed.:joker:

leeds can't defend, that been their problem for years. That isn't going to change in a couple of days. I'm sure it has been pointed out to the team on numerous occasions before now

We shall see …

I don’t see them taking ANY prisoners against ManCity ..

As I said reffing is ridiculously lenient these days for all types of tackling so they can really get stuck in .. and then replace the ones who are booked .

A useless, but kinda interesting stat about Chelsea.... Chelsea have the 3rd best defence in the league, only bettered by City and Newcastle for goals conceded!

However, Chelsea are 16th for goals scored.

Javi Gracia has defended his record as Leeds manager following his sacking.

Gracia was replaced by Sam Allardyce this week with four games of the Premier League season remaining.

Leeds were 19th in the table when Gracia took over from Jesse Marsch in February, and are currently 17th - above the relegation zone on goal difference.

"We got 11 points in my 11 matches," Gracia told the Athletic.

"Everton got eight points, Leicester and Southampton took six and (Nottingham) Forest five. So everyone else down there got fewer."

Can't be argued with when put like that

I'm stunned Everton are in such a now very bad situation and in danger of relegation.
I think that's unfortunate.

I really thought they'd turn things around.

bots 04-05-2023 07:21 PM

it's been a good game so far
