JOEY COLE ON HIS WAY
Another day, another story in the tabs about Joe Cole leaving Chelsea in the summer.

The Daily Star reports that Cole will not accept the new contract offered to him by the cost-cutting club, given that said deal was only for one year, and included a 40% wage cut.

And the Star aren't stopping there. Oh no sireebob.

They claim that Cole will not only leave Chelsea, but do one up north and sign for Manchester United.

Indeed, the paper reckons Cole is 'almost certain' to join United, after being stunned that Chelsea would dare offer such a paltry deal.

United are favourites, say the paper, but Manchester City are also on hand with £80,000-a-week to offer the England midfielder, while inevitably Harry Redknapp is interested.

Crouch 'funniest man in UK sport'

England footballer Peter Crouch has been named the funniest man in British sport, topping the poll of the best one liners and comedy football moments of all time.

The 6ft 7in striker won top billing for a cheeky response to the question "What would you be if you weren't a footballer?"

The Spurs targetman replied: "A virgin."

LOL!!!

I'd prefer if United tried to get Stephen Ireland to be honest with you.

King Gizzard 11-03-2010 11:37 PM

Stephen Ireland is a nunce for what hes done with the whole Ireland thing

Pretending his nan was dead or something?

setanta 11-03-2010 11:40 PM

Yeah, he's an idiot but a great footballer. Just need somebody to replace Scholes and he looks like the right fit to me.

30stone 11-03-2010 11:42 PM

Thats true.

But then wouldnt you consider fletcher to take scholes place?

And Ireland is awesome still only young.

King Gizzard 11-03-2010 11:42 PM

Eventually I think they already have that in Tom Cleverly

Nah, Fletcher is a different type of player who'd compliment Ireland. Think it would work well.

30stone 11-03-2010 11:45 PM

Fletcher
Valencia
Carick
Giggs

Great midfield.

Great midfield.

I'd have five in midfield with Ireland just off Rooney, with Fletcher and Carrick behind him and Giggs/Nani and Valencia/Park on the wings. Lovely.

I like bendtner

was watching the presenters talking after the game and one of them said " He played awful "

The game he scored a hat trick in against Porto... I thought his Positioning in that game was World class he knew where to be for the goals and he still had to finish.. Also worked hard tracking back and helping out at the back i noticed

that man who said that should be sacked seriously..

King Gizzard 12-03-2010 12:44 AM

I still think hes awful

King Gizzard 12-03-2010 12:45 AM

After one game everyone is thinking hes some sort of class act, even the sun apologized

its one game ffs you watch him be **** for about 10 games

setanta 12-03-2010 12:50 AM

You all laughed at me at the beginning of the season when I said that Bendtner had great potential but yeah, his finishing lets him down big time sometimes. Still, he's cocky enough to be an excellent striker.

BEndtner has always been good, he just needs to pink boots to finish.

Man gives himself so many chances if he could finish like messi or rooney, he would be awesome because he does get himself in great positions.

They done the same to walcott... yet almunia can play 10 good games in a row.. and still be chastised...
But bendtner is only 21 ish.. he will improve :)

I never i knew he would be better this season, he will be quality in 2 years as will walcott..

King Gizzard 12-03-2010 01:01 AM

and what was so good about his goals yesterday? a lucky goal, a tap in, and a peno, you don't have to be Henry to score goals like that, average at most

Ah, you're being a tad harsh on the fella. He leads the line well.

Novo 12-03-2010 01:03 AM

Yeah but you still have to finish them though

You have to be Positioned there to score the tap in.. Look at RVN most of his goals are like that, that's what makes him World class

And the penalty could not have been any better right in the bottom corner keeper went the right way as well
