Even though it would of probably benefited villa, i'm glad they voted again that Champions league playoff thing in the Premier League

would be so gutted if I finished 4th with like 30 more points then the 7th placed team, yet they beat us in the playoffs and went into the CL and got all the money

bbfan1991 21-03-2010 10:06 PM

Makes me laugh how the papers suggest that United are going to buy David Villa when we can't afford him really?, theres still the bulk of Ronaldo sale left yet they insist more cash for transfers are available?, hope the debt is sorted out:D.

Lucky teams that are out of the red:).

I liked that idea:shocked:, but yeah it would have been unfair if the fourth place team if they were clear on the others lost in the play off final.

30stone 21-03-2010 10:24 PM

That was just a plain bad idea lol.

Its like something a 14 year old would think up in a class room without thinking..

Time to play other games during the summer..
Expenses.
How its unfair if one point is 10 points behind..

King Gizzard 21-03-2010 10:25 PM

The idea was just $$$$$$

the only reason they decided against the idea was cause they could fit the fixtures in

crazy that they were actually considering it and that was the only real stumbling block

bbfan1991 21-03-2010 10:39 PM

The proposed 39th game abroad (relief it was a no) was the biggest £££ idea that they come up with:joker:.

I see Lyon lost 2-1 against Marseille, it's rumoured Platini is a fan of them:D.

30stone 21-03-2010 11:01 PM

Dont understand why people say people say we have an easier run in.. other than united having to play chelsea the run in is the same as arsenals.

They are only going by on paper Ben:rolleyes:, this season has been so unpredictable still lots of twists and turns left:).

30stone 21-03-2010 11:14 PM

Yeah but if you look on paper we have same fixtures other than chelsea now...

Have a feeling if we go out of champions league and you dont, we could sneak it.

I would back you guys if United were to go out and you go through against Barca:p.

Them games could be considered easier thats what they're saying.. all the teams are capable of beating each other. United still got to play City and Chelsea so it's all up for grabs;).

Its only one game difference though..

We both have to play tottenham and man city.
its just you have to play chelsea.

But yeah im supporting the englih team, hopefully man utd win champions league, focus on it and we get pl :)

bbfan1991 21-03-2010 11:28 PM

LOL both Arsenal and United are hungry for the two trophies:joker:, we'll have to see who triumphs.

Robbie Keane has hinted at returning to Spurs in the summer but now he's been linked again with a move to Aston Villa?.

30stone 21-03-2010 11:34 PM

Cant see us beating Barca and inter..

So best we have is domestic.

You never know.. Barca are a bit lacking in the defence at times and lack concentration where as upfront we know they have class all over the pitch. All the Arsenal players will have to be on top form.

30stone 21-03-2010 11:45 PM

Yeah for sure..

Problem is us having to play at home first, we cant let them score.. we need to be atleast 1 - 0..

Problem is gallas is still out.
Wish we had RVP.. he would add that touch of class.. him and fabregas linking together is always good.

Then again the Arsenal defence would need to be very organised;). RVP is a quality player shame he's injured.. looks like Fabregas and Arshavin will have to try and cause as much problems as they can with Rosicky and co trying to contain Barca's midfield:D.

bbfan1991 22-03-2010 12:48 AM

“Did Valencia dive? Yes, I think so, although it’s not clear. There is maybe a contact but the way he fell down – it was strange.

“From the bench I was asking the people who were below with the television about the penalty and they said it was a penalty.

Oh Rafa:laugh2::laugh2:.

I dont think valencia dove as such.

I think there was a foul outside the box marginally, and he lost his balance from the foul and fell whilst in the box.

30stone 22-03-2010 02:05 PM

Way to early to count Chelsea out.

They are 2 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

And they are a very strong team, i still think they have a big chance..

Chels 22-03-2010 02:07 PM

don't think utd's penalty was a penalty tbh

Yes Valencia was clean through on goal and Mascherano got a tug on outside the box to try and stop him from his chance of scoring so ended up losing his balance before falling in the penalty area. However for Benitez to imply Valencia is a dirty player when he clearly isn't is a right joke:laugh:.

Me too:), however bookies seem sure they are out of it now:rolleyes:.

Novo 22-03-2010 02:13 PM

Chelsea are 11/4 now at the bookies behind arsenal at 2/1

£100 each on both of them and you'd make a profit as long as united don't win

bbfan1991 22-03-2010 02:16 PM

Van Persie back in training thats good news:).

Ben Watson wants to stay at WBA:D.
