For me, since this barbaric murder was made known last night, all I can think of is the truly horrific end to his life this Soldier had but to also just try to think too how his family must be feeling. If this were my Brother, cousin friend or for that matter even anyone I just knew,I haven't a single idea how I would start to cope with this. For his family it must now be a long running living nightmare of the worst possible scale. (Shark Attack put feeling nauseous in their post above, that is also very appropriate,I feel that every time as more and more of this horror is made known). Really strong thoughtful post Livia, very well said. |
The men - one of whom has been named as Michael Adeboloja - were arrested
following the hacking to death of a serving soldier in the street in Woolwich, southeast London. Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt said Adeboloja is a 28-year-old Londoner of Nigerian descent. http://news.sky.com/story/1094560/wo...-suspect-named |
This man is just the type recruited into extremist groups easily influenced, disaffected angry young men.
They can then be coerced into acts of terrorism, this is the problem today, the 'enemy' could be anywhere in any guise. |
Loose women debate it live now

I would rather gouge out my eyes with rusty spoons than watch that.

WTF has the guys school got to do with anything? The 9/11 bombers were graduates.
Extremism is not only the practice of the poor and uneducated. |
I don't think this was part of an 'organised' terrorist plot, the fact it is so shocking is it has that 'amateur' feel to it.
A suicide bomber targeting buildings and planes we are aware of and are prepared for, these random acts of murder we are not. COBRA will want to know how likely it is for this type of violence to happen again. |
