Can we talk about what bottle jobs Arsenal are or will that offend some folks?

yesterday's game was the ultimate bottle job

If Newcastle can win at home tomorrow, then it looks like a draw will likely be good enough at home to Bournemouth for Everton next week to survive.

They saved the season !! A very young , inexperienced squad who should only get better . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
I'll be surprised if Arsenal come top 4 next year the way they crumbled this season under pressure
Well done to a wonderful City team |

Be interesting to see where JWP and DCL go, if they do go
|
Leicester do have a good team - Maddo, Barnes, Pereira, Iheanacho all good players
Maddo will go Newcastle I expect |
Personally I hope Everton can stay up.

everton and forest at least fought to win some games which sets them apart from leeds, leicester and southampton

There has been lots of social media talk this season comparing Erling Haaland with Dixie Desn.
This guy made a half hour video on the subject. It's a good half hours veiwing. It's not just about Haaland and Dean but about how football has evolved. |

I still don’t understand why everything BEFORE the Premier League has been discounted .. they played the same game with the same rules Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Level of competition? In those days, any team could win the league, now, less than a handful can. Far more competitive back then. Also, defenders could kick the living sh1t out of strikers and get away with it. Now defenders get sent off for making a clean tackle. Far more sending offs these days, which means more space on the field. Not to mention the perfect bowling greens they play on now compared to the mud baths they did then. |
Different ball, different number of games, different pitches. They say explicitly in the premier league era, I don't know why that is so difficult to understand
|
Different tactics also.
Teams used to play a 2-3-5 formation. https://www.footballhistory.org/imag...35_numbers.png It's where the standard numbering system, and names for positions comes from. https://www.footballhistory.org/formations.html |
Essentially it’s still same game .. wasn’t there was a crossover when the same players played with the same teams under the same rules moving from the old way to premier league over the summer ..
It’s not like comparing cricket with 20/20 cricket Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
