The Newcastle guy just blasted the ball away in frustration but kicked it straight into his teammate’s face .. laying him out !!

where did the 8 minutes extra time come from :skull:

not content with trying to send someone off for a yellow card offence, the ref had a bad game

Just to clarify I don't really like Newcastle or Man City very much, so I'm not being biased in my opinion of the match before anyone thinks that I am.

The Referee in this game was so blatantly biased towards Man City today it was ridiculous.

1. Giving Man City free kicks whilst Newcastle got none for similar challenges.

2. Denying Newcastle a penalty towards the end of the first half when Stones fouled him in the penalty area.

3. The Referee trying to disallow Newcastle's first goal, but VAR thankfully stepped in.

4. Again the Referee trying more dirty shenanigans by trying to send Trippier off for an offence that anyone with eyes could see that it was only a yellow card. Again VAR had to step in and correct his decision.

5. Giving 55 minutes of added time to try and get Man City a late winner, knowing that Newcastle were starting to get tired.

Basically well done to Newcastle for holding off 12 men, it is unusual to see that standard of bad Refereeing away from a Birmingham City match, but that match today definitely came close.

very much like at Chelsea last week when Taylor cost them the 3 points, something needs to be done about biased refereeing but it is being swept under the carpet and no one can say anything or they get banned

Mike Dean saying 'on reflection' he made the wrong decision about the hair pulling incident when every neutral could see it straight off

Oh that incident was really absurd.

Even the most blind person on the planet could tell that his hair was being pulled.

i don't think it's so much about bias, it's more about inconsistency. They are not following their own rules consistently

Most of the time I would agree with you that it's lack of consistency from Referee to Referee.

But I honestly believe that yesterday Newcastle were facing an extra man with how little they were getting off him in terms of decisions versus what Man City were getting off him.

bots 22-08-2022 06:20 AM

The referees have been told to let the game flow which means that they have to subjectively decide when a foul is warranted. Thats always going to create controversy

referees being biased oh pretends to be shocked :joker::joker:

soo Man City are getting the ''ajax'' treatment in english football

would be better if Man City are sooon kicked out of english football entirely

Nicky91 22-08-2022 12:37 PM

Man City are of course winning the title the next 10 or 20 years, all thx to corrupt ref's and the **** trash VAR

Newcastle don't change anything within your team, you guys did great last night

I have no interest really in Newcastle or Man City neither are clubs I like.

However in fairness, I do agree wholly with your summary of the match Mock.
It's sad to see but it was near blatantly so in this match.

joeysteele 22-08-2022 03:51 PM

I wonder what sort of crazy scoring result will be so after tonight's Man Utd v Liverpool match.
After some of the at least surprising ones over the weekend.

bots 22-08-2022 04:17 PM

it could be 0-0 or 6-0 .... who knows

The Slim Reaper 22-08-2022 06:04 PM

Liverpool's midfield is Henderson, Milner, and Elliot. I fcuking hate FSG. United should walk to 3 points, even in their current state.

Calderyon 22-08-2022 06:05 PM

Ronaldo benched, Rashford as sole forward. Midfield Elanga, Bruno and Sancho.

Liverpool no surprise changes
