Yeah you're probably best packing them in. I'm young, brash, ignorant and childless. I have my excuses.

Well done Niamh, make sure you stay off them!

Patrick 02-09-2011 05:19 PM

Be careful you don't die.

Alot of people seem to suffer from Heart Attacks and stuff - after coming off Drugs or Cigarettes if they've been using for a long period of time.

I called bullsh*t on that theory a number of times in school and at dinner, but my teacher and my gran both said that it's true.

Apperantley the body 'goes into shock' or something.

So yes, well done Niamh :) and please don't die.

Thanks Mollie, I'm going to give my best shot this time:hugesmile:

Buying a box when your out is grand because you'll smoke the box. The trouble is rolling tobacco. If that's still around the morning after you'll be smoking it throughout the week.

CharlieO 02-09-2011 07:13 PM

Well done, however if you go back, respect will be lost though. :hmph:

Ammi 02-09-2011 07:19 PM

Oh I couldn't go cold turkey! I have tried but lasted a day! It was actually the worst feeling in the world... I had a horrible empty feeling in my tummy and I just wanted to kill everybody, myself included.

I stopped once for a year and a half and did it so easily with patches I couldn't actually believe it.

I've tried a few times since though and its not as easy.. the last time I somehow managed to get up to wearing 3 patches at once! Bloody cheaper smoking.. :bored:

I'm definitely going to give it a try soon though..

Thanks people

Paddy : Just to let you know Day 8 and I'm still alive (phew)

Lee : I never tried the patches, I think having the inhaler is more of a psychological thing with me though cos it looks like a ciggie and you do the same thing with it and it's comforting lol

Joe : Just say no :nono:

Nathan : NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
