Everyone's saying she doesn't have an Indian accent, but when i hear her i do hear an Indian accent. It's not a full on Apu from the Simpsons accent or anything, but i do hear it.

As for imitating "a black or asian accent", what the hell is one of those? Colour of skin does not denote accent and this is reflected in the very sensible observation that if you mimic Deana (the person, as opposed to her race as a whole which would encompass a variety of accents) it shouldn't be offensive as long as it sounds like her, but if you target what you feel are her origins and attempt an indian accent, then it is not her you are mocking. It's her race. I'm chuffed someone has stood up for the Scots as well, as bigotry isn't only targeted at black and asian people. It's a means of belittling any minority/majority group. |

I'm totally amazed , talk about double standards it's OK to mimic people's accents as long as there the right sort of accents, wouldn't want to stray down the path of political incorrectness. OMG I think it's time to hit the OFF switch, BB is making it up as they go along. They're probably so paranoid about upsetting the wrong demographic groups, the PC groups , the Sponsors, the Advertisers, the rules have become totally dependent on the prevailing mood of the day. They need to allow the housemates room to breathe, be expressive, get angry , be funny whatever..... But the second it's interpreted as potentially offensive then their pulled up for it. Fine ! But how about a bit of consistency , let everyone know where the lines are and keep them there. Not change the rules on an almost daily basis.... Don't know how much more of this current series I can take...!!!!!!!!!
