its sad when you cant mimic someone cause they are black or asian yet you can do irish scottish welsh american canadian etc till the cows come home and thats ok.
unless its malious it shouldn't be a problem. but knowing those two it probably was.

These kinda things annoy. Marcus said it perfectly in BB10 referring to the Sree incident. However if they mimicked her in an Indian accent then that's wrong because she has a Brummie/Teeside accent. This would then imply that there is a possibility of them stereotyping all Indians, making the warning necessary.

im saying people mimic the scots irish english welsh etc all the time and no one cares. so unless what they are saying is offensive there should be no problem.
i dont know what they said could be something dodgy.

your post in the other thread was just plain sterotype driven and ill informed it was nothing to do with accents. just some bizarre excuse and reason to have a go at her .which i find really weird.lol

How in heavens name was my post ill informed I was quoting passages from her own hand written Bios. She said herself she was educated awith a degree or something in business studies and I added her fellow countrymen are regarded as great mathamaticians and shopkeeprs etc. I just used different words but it amounted to the same. The Irish fight, the jocks drink, the welsh shag sheep, the english cant take penalties and the indians are great shop keepers, what is your problem with that. You need to question values you have and wonder if they are just a little too strong and self opinionated. I meant no harm and I even apologised in a previous post if I offended anyone and was told I didnt offend anyone then you came on and try to publically execute me.

A post is only offensive if it is written in malice or with intent in mind. Intention is everything.
It's not mimicry or even parody when the other people speak in the same accent as the mainstream. It has darker under tones. Nasty ones IMHO.

Deanna doesn't have an Indian or Pakistani accent. So by directing one at her suggests your intention is to mock and ridicule her origins. Maybe belittle and maybe hate.

If I starting doing an Israeli accent to a British Jew from London who has an English accent And I did it with mocking and ridiculing suggestions you'd quickly understand I was being nasty at best. Racist at worst.

Another example. If you were standing in the middle of the Kalahari and the African bush men surrounded your average white Englishman sniggering exaggerated "why ay man's" in a Geordie accent accompanied with lifting of beer gestures. Just because the Englishman's father was from Newcastle you might wonder that they were trying to offend based on his race and origins. .

I've never heard an Irish person Geordie or a cockney accent ridiculed in the BB house but perhaps mimicked with inclusion.

On the other hand mocking those who do have accents suggests a lack of intelligence and imagination and reeks of xenophobic insecurity also.

Yeah I know yada yada yada but in what accent........?
