Catholics would say they are going to hell as well.
But isn't that why they split in the first place? They differ on their interpretations of the bible.

Like a stopped clock, Marsh is right. Atheism is not a religion.

I'm an anti-theist.

Marc 14-04-2013 09:21 AM

Noooone

Ammi 14-04-2013 09:29 AM

..I really don't like threads/questions like this..(nothing personal Redway..)..what religion are you..?..what political party do you support..?...how old are you..?...etc...does it make you a different person, have different values, interact differently..more compassion/sense of right or wrong...there is a reason why these type of questions are no longer asked in job applications etc...because they serve no purpose except to invite prejudice and judgements....

Marc 14-04-2013 09:32 AM

No it doesn't Ammi. I'd prefer to know somebody for who they are rather than their beliefs. I don't need to know about your S&M addiction or your love for splashing kids with puddings Ammi

lostalex 14-04-2013 10:23 AM

Atheist.

I think all organized religions are a lie and just a means of controlling people and/or making a few people very rich. It's a way for a small group of people to control a large number of people. I see very little different between religious leaders and politicians.

That being said, I do believe that the Universe is vastly more complex than what science can currently explain. I definitely think the universe is full of mysteries and things that we have no idea about. I just don't believe that any current religions know the truth about it though.

Meh, I think it's quite interesting. There's a lot of members I wouldn't have down as religious types who apparently are

I was bought up in a very Christian household but I'm agnostic.

billy123 14-04-2013 11:40 AM

None and the poll is kind of skewed you can add together the Atheist, idk and Agnostics together for a start and call them none.
I dont follow any religion nor do i follow any belief but in saying that i admire people that follow any religion as the ideals of all religions as far as i can see are based on ideals that would be a credit to any member of society.

I have friends from all walks of life some of them are nice with knobish qualitys some of them are knobs with nice qualitys and every possibility inbetween. Thats just people for you.
However anybody that judges people on being religious or not and on which religion are just blatant dumb arses and i havent got time for them and can feck off.

joeysteele 14-04-2013 11:43 AM

Misread the titile of this thread, I don't really practice any religion.
I was born a Roman Catholic and am baptised and confirmed but for me now at this time, that is as far as it goes.

I agree. Also Catholics are Christian, so those should be combined as well.

Jake. 14-04-2013 11:50 AM

Why should anything be combined anyway? Having Catholicism and Christianity seperate isn't exactly causing a fuss, and some Christians might not consider themselves Catholics. I'm a Catholic, had my communion, confirmation and what not, my mum had only been baptised, so how is she a Catholic? :suspect:

Well if you're going to have catholic separate then you should also have separate for Mormons, and Jehovah's witnesses, and Southern Baptists, and Episcopalians, and Jews for Jesus etc etc etc. There;'s even more than 1 type of Catholic, there's Roman Catholics and then there's Greek Orthodox Catholics. They're all Christians though. And you should have separate for Sunni Muslim or Shiite Muslims...

btw, I was also raised Roman Catholic. I went through all the sacraments too.

Jake. 14-04-2013 12:07 PM

A poll can only have 25 options, there's a reason why there's an option for 'Other (Please Specify), and I'm highly doubtful that the forum is overrun with Shiite Muslims.
