Joe's thread got me thinking about this actually, so in what religious system do you believe, if at all?

I was brought up as a Catholic, but I'd consider myself a Christian now seeing as I want nothing to do with them anymore. I don't really believe in Church either, but just sort of a personal relationship with God. I don't see the significance in wasting an hour a week in some stuffy building in total boredom.

That said, recently I've been feeling increasingly.. nihilistic (I think that's the right term anyway). So I'm not sure what to believe. I try to convince myself that there is a God, but I just feel like I'm trying to fool myself into some fantasy nowadays.

I don't know really. Most of the people I know that attend church say that it's all because of the community aspect of it.

It's a weird thing anyway. I don't see why people are required to go to some building every week to listen to passages from a 2000-year-old book that they've probably heard before. None of it seems to have any significance on the personal relationship with God which is what Christianity is meant to be about (well not to me anyways).
