He could have continued the old story of drinking, negativity, womanising, judgmental actions and greed but he hasn't. Lovely post.

Abz will win and give every bit of it away. You watch.

chuff me dizzy 12-09-2013 01:32 PM

He needs to stop licking ass or I will be going off him big time !!

Vicky. 12-09-2013 01:39 PM

Yeah I think theres a slight chance the OP is reading just a little too much into this :D

Patricia4 12-09-2013 01:42 PM

He's a genuine guy.

Give every bit of what away? his fee I don't think so

Lord Of The Garden 12-09-2013 03:03 PM

100 % genuine

He has shown a natural wisdom and genuine interest in others in a way that you couldn't blag

His gifts to Lauren, Louie etc come from his genuine pleasure in giving rather than receiving

Like in Shawshank Redemption when Andy gets a beer for his mates but not for him. There's something in that makes the world go round.

I've grown to like Abz a lot. He clearly has a positive effect on the others in there. Makes them feel good and calm.

Genuinely decent guy for sure.

anne666 12-09-2013 03:13 PM

He's spent far too long with his spider.Does he know anything about this con artist? Lauren and truth, now that is amusing. Glad he said her truth, hope that at least was an insight ! Poor deluded guy :bawling:

I fully admit that myself (and I want him to win too).

Just some things in the conversation don't make much sense.

To me, the clip reflects well on Abz but doesn't reflect that well on Lauren.

It's not a case of questioning Abz for doing anything wrong at all - quite the opposite !
It's wondering whether he's playing a very skillful game to reflect Lauren's good (or over-hyped for her this series) points onto himself. :)

It's all so easy to point the finger at any individual and say people shouldn't be playing a game.
But fact is, everyone wants to win and everyone does play one.

Good gameplaying should be richly appluaded not frowned upon.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong.
Either way - he's still 100% genuine....
Just saying you can remain genuine and still make some good points about your other housemates !

Totally agree but why are you talking like I can't see truth in Abz's actions ?

No-one admires him for his actions more than me.

Not saying he's not being very true to himself or isn't a genuine bloke - he is !

But are you under a "being a gameplayer is wrong" spell ?
Everyone's in there so everyone's playing the game to win.
The biggest myth ever heard is that if they ARE then it's somehow wrong !

Whether he's playing the game or not in this clip please don't be influenced by the crap you hear selectively banded around on C5.

The day C5 applaud good gameplaying is the day the BBBOTS panel and audience need to put their thinking caps on and having a real conversation that amounts to more than audience heckling or burping noises.

It just aint gonna happen !
Doesn't mean we can't think for ourselves if we want to though.

As I said before...

She says ""You wouldn't me though" [????]

She means she doesn't really deserve it ?
It makes you wonder...

Then she goes into the living area and announces "I deserve to have this".

She didn't need to and could have said nothing but she made a public thing of it.

Abz also brought up her 'I will win big brother' notes/letters.

Now there's nothing wrong per se with any of these points.
But when you put them all together (and the amount of footage BB are giving her), you DO wonder if she's as sincere as she really appears.

And if she's as sincere as we're led to believe then she doesn't strike me as a particularly open person either - and to me, that seems a bit odd too.

What?
Abz said I deserve to have this.

Not

I deserve to have this.

You are changing the context.

It does make you wonder what these people could achieve if they put their energies into something worthwhile.

daniel-lewis-1985 12-09-2013 04:02 PM

I wish we had seen more of him.

Hes been endearing in the clips we have seen with him building little pillow forts and saving bugs lol very much like Pete BB7.

I don't know how I feel about Lauren winning.

Listen again she said Abz the 1st time but not the 2nd.

In any case she's making a public show over it - that's the point !

Johnnyuk123 12-09-2013 04:12 PM

If Babz is who he says he is and is 100% genuine then he would not be on the show in the first place and would be out in the woods hugging a tree somewhere. lol

..but not the second. Sorry, but it's implied the second time you say it. That's part of how the English language works.

There is no point, you made the point up by changing the context. Lauren showed the housemates a gift that Abz gave her. That's all that happened.

Point is, it wasn't about giving Abz any credit for his generous gesture.
It was all about her making a public show saying she deserved to have it. (probably for the camera)

It''s not like she said "Abz gave me this gift, isn't that kind of him ?"

All she said was "Isn't it lovely ?"

On both occasions she mentioned deserving it - fact !

Not saying she's isn't grateful but even when she says "So I will keep this forever now" she doesn't sound particularly convincing. (at least if you compare her reaction to Louie's)

What's with that accent? I Thought he was from Enfield
