I see your black hair ? Sorry but the english traduction of "Je voudrais un cheval noir" is "I would a black horse" and "Je mange un croissant" is in fact, "I eat a croissant"
Don't worry, the french is really hard to learn, the english is really more easy ! lol :spin2:

stacey 08-10-2006 10:57 AM

sunshine i never knew that you were french

Captain.Remy 08-10-2006 02:47 PM

Pipergun 08-10-2006 03:04 PM

Oh dear, sorry Sunshine... I think I should stick to English!!

... What I said meant absolute no sense, hehe!

I never did understand though, in a speaking exam, my teacher asked me to say a simple sentence about the weather. I meant to say it was hot, but said "Ecouter et répéter. J'ai chaud." Instead... she burst out into fits of laughter... could you explain why!? :conf:

Captain.Remy 08-10-2006 03:42 PM

"Ecouter et roter. J'ai chaud", in english it's "Listen and burp. I'm hot."
Nothing about the weather lol

If you want some help for your french exams or homeworks, I'm here, don't forget.
I must say the french language is so difficult.
But don't worry sunshine30 is here !!!

Captain.Remy 08-10-2006 06:04 PM

A lot of members here speak french, we can speak in french on the forum lol

Bells 08-10-2006 06:18 PM

Oui bien sûr – le français est une langue très intéressant; cependant, ce sera un peu difficile de parler le français toujours ici!

I have a background in several countries abroad, even though I was born and brought up here. Generally I love languages and love travelling, although I wouldn’t want a career in it or anything. I speak either fluently/parts about 6 languages, and I am currently learning two more and hope to learn another one (which is Mandarin Chinese) in the near future. So that makes about 9 lol…so yeah, that is quite a few! Although of those 9, at present I speak about 4 pretty much fluently.

Lauren 08-10-2006 06:19 PM

I know English (Obviously...), French and German
