Nope. Well done for having the balls to speak against something you disagree with. Commendable. You should sue for 1 million for emotional distress for 1 the mouse traps and 2 calling you thick. *watches too much suits*

haha this made me chuckle... he'd probably manage to as well!

I basically think the same as most... Well done for standing up with what you believe in. As confident as I am, I definitely couldnt do that.

Do you get on well with your manager? or not really? Maybe you could ask to move them to a spot where you dont have to see them all the time? Do you think you'd be happier going somewhere else?

ive not heard of glue mouse traps until now... and god, that's horrid. I can understand normal mousetraps that just quickly end their lives, but the whole sticking to the sheet thing.. ugh i hate the thought of that

Erm, I dont think its up to staff what they sell or dont sell. If you dont like handling/selling certain things that your boss wants to sell, then quit. I dont think you did anything wrong in pointing out that it makes you uncomfortable, however to push it any further would be taking the pee I think. I view this the same way I viewed a story a while back about staff refusing to handle pork products in M&S tbh.

Never heard of these glue things before though, and they do sound horrific tbf :S

\So you think it would be right for a person to speak out against interracial marriage if their co-worker was marrying a black man? it's just her speaking her mind, and she wouldn't deserve any criticism>?

As long as you're not inciting hatred then, is that ok? :hehe:

It's up to him, he's in charge. Like I said they don't sell many of them and they aren't worth much otherwise I'd shut my trap (tehe) and carry on. It's just cruel to even stock them, I don't believe in killing any intruders in your home except spiders, which I don't really have much of a choice with as if I'm near one too long I suffer panic attacks. But if you have to kill a creature in your house, at least use something that ends it fast you know? I'd love to stick one of the glue traps to some cruel ****'s face who buys one.

You have to go through life not giving a f :hehe:

Erm, not really. He blames me alot for what other staff do and is rude every time but I end up just telling him it's not me and to get off my back, surprised I'm still there tbh but they have a staff shortage and I'm the first new one they've had in a while that knows his own arse from his elbow so I think I can get away with quite abit :fan: Though strangely enough he did approach me today and said yesterday was fine and that I should not worry about it, he might think I'm close to quitting or something as we end up at odds with eachother most days, only been there a month!

Yeah they're vile things, I thought they were only in America I've never seen a store sell them until I started here D:

omg how could you sleep with 2 spiders above your head? One time there was a massive spider walking next to my bed (I was actually in bed with the light off and I heard the spider walking over a paper bag.....yes heard him eek) My husband was out at the time so I took my duvet and went to sleep on the couch till he came back and found him and killed him

I'm really glad you are sensitive enough to care about other living things, no matter how small. Your boss sounds a right tool, but he is your boss.
This is only a suggestion, but what about buying a couple of the live traps and when customers want to buy one of the glue ones, offer the live traps at the same price. (You may be a little out of pocket here, but your consience will be clear)

are you a man or a mouse?

If they're illegal, and you feel that it is right, report it. **** all of this 'get on with the job' ****, you shouldn't disregard your own morality for someone else.
