That isn't with respect however, being an MP in Parliament or of another party either.
He was an Independent, who as the name suggests are 'independent' of parties.

arista 25-05-2015 10:01 AM

Yes so I was right to add him with the LibDems

You lost me there,he still wasn't a party.:joker:
He was just one individual and didn't have a vote on the issue in Parliament.

Kizzy 25-05-2015 10:31 AM

Ok make that the conservatives agreed then.

Yes Joey as Mayor
people sent him money
as he was against the FECKING IRAQ NEW LABOUR WAR

You are not lost

Vicky. 25-05-2015 10:55 AM

Its a giant waste of money anyway.

However I am finding it amusing thinking of Sturgeon pretty much having a coronary over this

Yes Vicky but it is getting ready to be built
no one can stop it now

It was first a New Labour idea

Vicky. 25-05-2015 11:04 AM

Of course it could be stopped

I don't care whos idea it was..its still a massive waste of money and ridiculous to be even considering let alone pushing ahead with whilst the country is apparently on its knees...

No Vicky
loads of Workman are being contracted
even near you
are you going to Sack them?

It matters that it was a New Labour Plan
as that meant both Conservative and Labour
back it

Definitely,I agree.

When first an idea, the economics of the UK were very different.
As you point out now, things are much tighter now and things should be re-assessed as to cost at such times.

Vicky. 25-05-2015 11:09 AM

Yes I would 'sack' them (does it count as being sacked if you haven't started yet?) while there is apparently not enough money to keep paying carers allowance but there is billions to waste on this...its a ****ing disgrace. 12bn of cuts, including changing the carers allowance rules to chuck a few people off..TAXING dla and stuff. Its disgusting.

Going off on a tangent a bit here but yeah. I don't get why we waste so much when we are apparently too skint to do anything...

Kizzy 25-05-2015 11:12 AM

I bet nobody will be able to afford to use it, I thought the chunnel would be an ace idea and unless you live down south it's cheaper to fly.

Yes it does Count on Massive Contracts (you must be ready to go at a text call)

I say send all the [Vicky] Sacked Workers to her garden

Thats fine. I will pay them a living wage to sort my garden out actually. Need decking put down, and grass, and wanting some gravelly stuff put there too to make it look nice.

Will only be a few hours work though sadly

arista 25-05-2015 11:21 AM

:joker: I love that response.

the truth 26-05-2015 01:11 AM

yet again I find myself envying the jocks....they'll save billions from escaping this national multi billion scam...they've also merged the social services care with the nhs trust care saving millions and vastly improving the care for the sick...bravo Scotland...England is trialling it already up north...its the ONLY way forward...so care will be sorted for people at home, money to pay carers and help towards public sector jobs and wages...they'll have all this now, we wont...but.how will they ever cope having to take an extra 30 minutes to get to London by train? in the national list of priorities that doesn't even get in the top 1 million

bots 26-05-2015 09:18 AM

Have to say, in this instance no business case has to be the lamest excuse ever given the research that would have been put into it in the first place. Would be nice if they actually spelt out the real reason, they can't afford it.

For me to get from Glasgow to Liverpool to see my OH, I currently have to go via National Express coach to Manchester, then the train through to Liverpool which takes around 6 hours. I'd quite like an inexpensive direct rail link to Liverpool but such a thing doesn't exist.
