If there is another civilian series they should actually put effort in casting people who are more outgoing and who would clash and not just brows the local agencies.

As to whether or not they read these forums... Certainly they used to read Digital Spy. And obviously Rylan mentions getting grief on twitter. Emma called out for the live feed during the "Legends" entrance into the house.

I honestly thought last years show would be the breaking point and with new owners of the channel and an unpopular terrible series they would make some big changes to BB. And yet they've done all the same things again, only even more so this year. Everything the fans ask for more of they get less of, and everything they ask for less of they get more of. They've built a brick wall between themselves and the fans and climbed a ladder to the top and urinated on them.

And I expect it to be much the same next year.

Thanks that's pretty interesting, and a little depressing lol, that they give him different answers each year. It makes me think they're not really sure of anything themselves so just tell people whatever will make them shut up. One of my friends uncles actually worked as a prod (cant remember which year(s) but it was when russell brand did big mouth) and according to my mate he refuses to even talk about bb to people never mind watch it, he hates it so much lol

And just on that actually, it's interesting to note that he was a contracter producer, not someone with any real interest or investment in the show. I think we're all under the illusion sometimes that the producers care about their output, when in reality they're likely to just be yes men to the controllers, who are seemingly out of touch with fans

Yeah but what's the point when you can't get to know them anyway?

This is the stupidity of these people... The two most successful series had 14 housemates in total (the third) or 13 (the fifth). Back then, not only did you have highlight shows, you also had 24/7 live coverage to get to know them all.

Now you get 16 housemates on the opening night, over 20 in total by the end, and all you get is the HL show. No live coverage whatsoever apart from 20 minutes worth on a Friday.

As such they rely heavily on one or two housemates who cause arguments because there is nothing else they have time to show. And when that isn't happening they try to make it happen with stupid tasks and desperate stunts, which takes up even more time. All at the expense of time that could be used to help people get to know the HMs and begin to care about them.

They actually told him they were looking into putting the 24/7 live coverage on one of the MTV Channels this year. Which is a Channel also owned by Viacom.
