How would Danny know ?

I don't think he'd even get into uni.

Whilst I agree, he probably wouldn't - what difference does that make? I've not been to uni, have a job (Cristian doesn't, so that 22k was a waste of money) - in which I earn more than the amount they're squabbling about in a year, but I still know how student debt works

He didn't look too bothered. He will earn a lot more than that when he starts working.

He almost tried to pull the old we're all in the same boat pal. He's not in Cristian's shoes and shouldn't act like his debt is no big deal.

I saw his face drop and his bottom lip curl over the top lip before he started to clap alone and make a deal about nothing (aka student loan).

At least he was happy for Jack, unlike the others.

I doubt he'd be in the house if he really, really wanted to be a doctor. It takes 5 years+ training and any time out pretty much means you won't get onto the course anyway. He's in there for his rap 'career' which won't be happening because he's a) crap and b) has no charisma

No he didn't?! He just said that all students have a lot of debt - which is true. And you don't have to pay it off until you're earning a certain amount, which as Cristian is unemployed can't be putting that much pressure on him.

That's just a hobby, not what he's going to do as a job.

Or not, considering as you said he didn't go to uni so doesn't have a student debt.

He was rightly pointing out the lame excuse used by Cristian who would get more respect if he just said "I really wanted 23k, you'd be mad not to".

Considering he's on BB and made such lame comments about CBB I think he desperately wants it to be his job. He wants fame.

It's not lame at all, he's being honest and telling the other housemates what he would do with the money.

I think you mean "at least he made an effort to appear happy for Jack" and i agree, that was noble of him. Might have something to do with the upcoming final coming up but i have respect for him choosing not to make a big deal over something he was obviously upset about.

I think he was genuinely happy for him. Jack is his friend.

He was never going to spend all that money on paying back a loan that he is in no rush to pay off at all.

He'd do what most people would do. Buy a car or put it towards a deposit on a house or splash out on a huge holiday etc etc.

Or actually in Cristian's case, I suppose use it to fund his attempt at a rap career.

I dont think anybody would be genuinely happy for somebody that they lost 23k to by a split second lol. He just appeared happy, which is admirable.

Maybe not in that second, but afterwards yes.

He wouldn't, though. Why on earth would an unemployed man spend £22k of £23k on a loan he doesn't have to pay back until he's earning £21k p/a? It makes no sense and nobody would do that. He was using it as an excuse to justify him pressing the button - rather than just being honest and saying 'yeah I pressed it because I want the money'

He's never had student debt, who is he to say that ?

It just seems wrong coming from him. I'm sure he wouldn't understand it though.

It's like someone complaining about discrimination and Danny saying oh yeah but all ethnic minorities get that, not a big deal pal.
